Adrielle lives on an island where bad weather is everything. Where opposites ruled eternally. Because Lady Rain, the Guardian of Love, wanted to be a bit different. Her island, her rules. Love would forever be carried out by the weather, in remembrance of her best friend, Amaya, who had passed because of her ex-lover's betrayal. Lady Rain has the job of writing love stories of all the lives on her island, Corentin and her ex's, Zenebe. And once your love story is written in the Book of Love, it can never be erased. Or unfinished.
Adrielle made a promise with Lady Rain to never let her fall in love. How did she even get an audience with her? Well, Adrielle is her daughter, the offspring of her and the Guardian of Hate, Lord Raiden, who is all the way on another island, far across the Dangerous Tides and past Aldora. Zenebe.
Lady Rain never forgot the betrayal and the pain that Lord Raiden had put her through. She wants revenge. She wants his blood all over his painfully beautiful obsidian castle. And all his loved ones as well. She wants war against Zenebe.
In order to do that, she needed Adrielle and all of Corentin and Zenebe to be on her side. And it wasn't just that. She wanted to bring Amaya back from the dead, too. Lady Rain used to be the perfect candidate for the Guardian of Love. Now, she was the exact opposite.
Asher, the adopted son of Lord Raiden, is also a part of the plan, although he didn't know it at first. He and Adrielle met under a very heavy downpour, a week before the Book of Love went missing. Zenebe's rule of love is the exact opposite of Corentin's. In fact, almost everything between the two islands were.
Adrielle and Asher meeting was just another thing orchestrated by Lady Rain, and the disappearance of the Book of Love might have been too.
But when things didn't go according to the plan, and Adrielle and Asher find out the truth of what Lady Rain wants to do, can they stop her in time before she wages war? Or will Zenebe fall, with their blood on Lady Rain's hands?
