Chaos Arena Arc - EP2

-> WHITEFISTS - SHADOW CALL

Atop certain buildings in Tokyo's midnight, the waning crescent moon shone up in the night sky, illuminating the city below.

However, under it were five individuals perching on the rooftops of the buildings, observing a certain building.

They were Yatsu Murasaki and her blind brother, Yatsu Kuro, along with Rinko's squad on standby.

Yatsu Murasaki was a blue haired woman with a muscular build made by training her body hard at the gym. She wore a tight, sleeveless white dress covering her breasts down to her hips, though due to its design, her underwear could still be seen at certain angles below.

Her weapon was a battle axe that is as tall as herself, while her Ninja Arts is simply the ability to regenerate, even the most horrible of wounds, though it will take time.

She's also Cid's PE teacher.

Her brother, Yatsu Kuro was a bald guy wearing goggles to prevent others from knowing that he's blind, except for those who knew who he was. Other than that, he was as silent as a rock.

Murasaki was left with curiosity and a look of intrigue on her face, as she started to talk.

"I see, because they wanted us to go assist you, was because you need to rescue your friend while we infiltrate a base?" Murasaki asked, before a smile appeared on her face as she saw Yukikaze silently nod her head.

"Well then, let's get down to business." She concluded, walking to the edge of the building. "Rinko, anything you could see yet?"

".... Nothing." Rinko replied, staring down to the ground below. "At least, not underground. Something down there is preventing my Ninja Art from seeing through the ground floor."

With that statement out, the squad understood what to do next.

"Let's go. We don't need to waste time in little banter." Kuro spoke, and the five leapt towards a portal made by Rinko, beginning their mission.

The building, as they understood was hotel with gambling stations and arcades right down at the first 3 floors, due to it it was nothing special other than a place where certain politicians can visit out of boredom..... Or shady things.

The five had to split up and go down the building separately to avoid detection, finding pathways that would make sure they can move down to the bottom easily.

Meanwhile...

Right down below...

' Maaan .... I'm bored!'

Cid complained inwardly as different thoughts came across him. This side character play he has is getting boring. The same plot happens again and again.

Fight against a woman that was hot for a side villain, then lose. Up until the crowd didn't like him.

Even he knew that if this keeps on going, he'd be bored to death along with them!

So what should he do now?

"Yes.... That's right....."

'Screw this, I'm gonna become Shadow!' He exclaimed, forcing himself to stop for a moment as he began focusing on what to do next.

".... Arise, Shadow!"

And in the next moment, black slime exited his shadow before engulfing his body, as if his own shadow literally consumed him.

A burst of energy expanded from him like a powerful shockwave, blowing apart the boring, smelly room that is rarely even cleaned by Kaliya.

The chains that bound him broke to pieces as he thrust his hands forward, his black slime consuming the tight shackles on his wrists.

Cid was once again Shadow.

"Ah, it feels good to be back...." He muttered, stretching his body tightly, "Now, lets do a bit of exercise."

Casually stepping out of the room, Shadow put his hands on his cat's pockets, striding through the hallways with little care in the world.

His void art created a second metaphorical cloak that prevented him from being discovered by anybody unless he was in plain sight, even his face was covered with his Ninja Art, and only his glowing crimson eyes were allowed to be seen by the precious observers.

It was very convenient to say the least since he wanted to play his part.

With his Void Art he also discovered that he could use a Third Eye to see how he moves and fights in Third Person to see his movement's flaws, improve on his fighting style and showmanship, then balance the two out.

Sensing several demons coming his way, he leapt up to the air and attached himself to the ceiling, watching the Orcs and imps move towards the direction he came from.

They must be alerted by his "rude awakening".

"OI! Where da intruding git at?! If I see 'im I crush 'im!" One of the Orcs yelled out, patting his club with menacing grin.

The demons following him all but chuckled, ready to fight the intruder.

"Hehehe~! Some Taimanin found this place by chance, though I don't care what happened to her, she must be fighting for her life, hehe he~!" An imp said, inciting a reaction from the others.

"Oh! Her? She's a real cutie, though it's sad that we probably won't be able to see her fight, the Taimanin boy's boorish fighting is making us bored." Another Orc replied, and soon they were right under him.

Shadow dropped down to the ground, and the slime on his wrists became sharp hidden blades used to stab the heads of two Orcs down to the ground.

"What the-!?"

Shadow then decapitated the rest of the Demons before minding his own business, as usual.

Knowing where he should go next, Shadow moved through the hallways, sneaking through several demons and stealthily slaying a few of them.

He also stole several baskets of fruits, as he had nothing else to eat for the past two days. Was Kaliya busy?

Anyway, since he felt pretty hungry, he decided to sneak into an empty kitchen, to cook meals and steal ingredients and stuff inside his pocket dimension for use later.

Right before the time Shadow started cooking, Rinko's group were now in a long tunnel, staring at several Oni that blocked the pathway to their base.

Behind them were groups of drones, demons and a few humans that stood in their way, only to die with barely any resistance left.

"Taimanin?! And there's five of them?!" One of the Oni yelled out, flinching at the sight of the Taimanin.

"This is bad! One is already trouble, but five?!" The other exclaimed, tightly grasping his axe.

"Yeah, and we're going to bust the doors open!" Yukikaze yelled out, aiming her Akimbo towards the two.

The group is about to barge to the Chaos Arena, when suddenly they felt something strange and incredibly dangerous coming from one direction.

"What is this power? Just by sensing it, I feel incredibly heavy...." Tatsurou commented as he was the only one who trembled.

Even the demons felt it.

'This pressure...!!! It's as if one of the leaders of the Noble Nine flashed their auras at us for insolence!' One of the Demons inwardly spoke as they knelt down to the ground and stared at the ground trembling in fear.

Despite this confusing gesture, the group didn't hesitate to kill the guardians, and kept going through with their mission, to destroy the base and kill as many demons as possible.

The five were determined to do so.

P.S The demons from earlier did feel it, briefly kneeling before returning to their line of duty.

In another's perspective, the Vampire King, Edwin Black grunted with displeasement as he stared at the direction where the pulse of energy came from.

"Is another King challenging me? Hopefully it's not the Succubus King." Edwin muttered, resting his head on the back of his hand.

He and the Succubus King were rivals at this point, there was no denying this.

However, this form of energy, no matter how quick it vanished, was of somebody else.

"..... Is it that man I have no knowledge about?"

Shadow...

It was possible that he's here.

And it is possible he's targeting Edwin Black.

"I see..... I'll have to test him myself."

With an order to increase the security levels to the entire Chaos Arena given to his men, Edwin stood up and began to observe the arena below.....
