The Talk

"I will now tell you why you know I really loved you Rose" a sad expression grazed the beautiful face of Jax while he continued his story. "I saw so many signs that you didn't love me at all, but I ignored it. I kept loving you with all I had.

I gave you everything I could yet you betrayed me in the end. I felt broken it was as if a piece of my own heart was taken out. You always felt like an extension of myself you were the one who knew me the best. You were the one who would be there when no one else was. You would help me when I was struggling internally.

Yet you betrayed me. At that point, I had given up on the idea of love. Yet I was reborn, and as I grew up.

I gained a family."

The sad expression vanished from Jax's face while he continued to talk.

"I got a family that loved me dearly one that would go against the whole world to protect me" Jax looked at the woman in front of him that hunted his thoughts for years and years. But right now he felt rather indifferent towards her. "I thank you because of you I died and because of you, I had the change to experience this.

I don't thank you for breaking my heart but for shattering it into pieces. But that doesn't matter anymore after all my family healed those pieces." Jax said while he thought to every single moment he spends with them how he was on Ban's shoulders.

How he would play with King's pillow. How he would look at Dianne trying to cook for him. Or Merlin how she always patted his head when he was reading a book in her study. Or his own father the man who he respected the most of the group. Even if he and Meliodas couldn't see eye to eye on some things he still loved him dearly.

Or the embodiment of pride itself Escanor how he would play with his axe. A full on smile was seen on Jax's face while he thought about his friends. Gilthunder and Howzer who he had a genuine brotherhood with.

But the one he thought the most about was the man who basically shaped him into the man he is today. Luciv his master the man who trained him. The man who he talked to when the woman in front of him would hunt his dreams. The man that would take care of him when he was sick.

He still remembered the time he saw the sight of Rose cheating on him.

And how Luciv took him into his arms while he patted his head. Luciv calmed him down, and they had a long talk about everything that happened to Jax. Back then Luciv cried because of what happened to Jax. And the boy knew that the old man really cared for him. Since that day Jax respected Luciv the most. The man wanted the best for Jax.

Without Jax knowing his wounds from the woman in front of him had healed. And slowly he started to open his heart up once more. Rose right now was furious how could the man that she killed because of cheating say these things? She was furious at him, so she screamed.

"I'm thankful i cheated on you-you are worth nothing" she knew she didn't mean these things, yet she wanted to hurt the man in front of her. Jax just smiled at her, "maybe in the past I would have been furious at you and broken." He calmly spoke. "but not anymore, you mean nothing to me anymore" suddenly Jax formed a fist and the woman in front of him broke into pieces.

What Jax didn't know was that he had just killed her forever. Her soul would not even be able to rest in peace. Cupid smiled at Jax, "you passed Jax" if Cupid were honest he would say Jax did better than himself.

Every God of Love had to walk through this process, and even Cupid himself almost lost himself when he met his old wife. But Jax had long since moved on it seemed.

A sigh was released from Jax, "thank you for letting me meet her. Now I can rest easy knowing I have finished this" Jax felt a massive release from his body. He wanted to meet the dead only to see her. He knew it was holding him back a little bit, but right now relief washed all over his body. He could live his life without the thought of her.

She was gone not just for a time but forever.

Note: So a double release? Jax is no longer bound by the past. He can now live without anything holding him back. Maybe he could even love a girl again? Who knows.
