Chapter 42: Kit-ervention
Birdy knocked on Kit's office door as she tried to balance the heavy garment bags she had with her in one arm.
"Come in!" Kit called out.
Birdy opened the door and immediately speed walked to Kit’s couch, dumping her load onto the seat. Kit spun in her chair and watched Birdy with a chuckle.
"Thanks for coming," Kit said as Birdy smiled and sat across from her. "I know you're busy this week."
Birdy nodded. "I knew that it was possible that not everyone could reschedule but I can't really stay long. I hired some assistants and I'm nervous to leave them alone for too long."
"Since you're in a rush, I'll just be straight with you," Kit stated bluntly, catching Birdy by surprise. "I didn't ask you here for clothes, although I will go through all that stuff and send you back what I don't like."
Birdy frowned and nodded, trying to figure out where this was going. "Okay, so why am I here?"
"It's time we had a chat about you and Alex," Kit said with a pointed look.
