Chapter 18: A Little Space Couldn't Hurt
Birdy sighed distractedly as she caught herself lost in thought again. She had been trying to work on new designs for the last hour, but she hadn't made any progress. Alex was monopolizing her every thought as she replayed their kiss the night before in her head on a loop.
After Birdy and Alex kissed, they hadn't addressed it - again. The two had shared a shy smile and continued with their evening as if nothing had happened between them. They had ordered takeout, watched a movie and talked until early in the morning.
Birdy hadn't given it much thought the night before because she'd been caught up in enjoying her time with Alex.
Now, it was all that she could think about.
She had no idea what she was supposed to do now. While they had been able to brush off the last kiss as just a drunken occurrence between friends - this was very obviously something else entirely. They had undeniably made out and the rest of the evening had felt kind of like a date after that.
