Chapter 13: What's in a Kiss?
"Honey, I'm home!" Alex called out jokingly as she pushed open the door to the apartment.
She'd just flown back from Los Angeles and was exhausted, but she was happy to be back home with Birdy. They hadn't spoken much while she was gone, which Alex had found odd. Ever since Birdy moved in, they had texted each other throughout the day regularly about pretty much anything and everything.
Alex couldn't deny that she was a little worried Ravyn had done something to scare Birdy off. She had worried about that before giving Ravyn Birdy's number, but decided against it in the end.
"I'm in the living room," Birdy called out as Alex closed the door behind her.
Birdy had been sketching in the living room with music playing in the background as she waited for Alex to come home. She decided that she would address the kiss the second Alex walked through the door, choosing to sketch some designs as a way to divert her nervous energy while waiting.
