His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. He leaned down, his lips hovering just above hers, close enough for her to feel his breath but not close enough to touch. “They beg.”Elysia’s pulse quickened, her breath catching as her body betrayed the fear melting into something far more dangerous. Another Visit

The man swallowed hard, his hands clasped tightly in front of him while his gaze remained fixed on the ground. "He was a friend of mine," he began, his voice strained. "An illegitimate child of a very powerful man who wanted nothing to do with him. To conceal his true identity, he used a fake name. His real name is... Alster Barlow."

"And who is this powerful man that did not want him?" Azrael questioned.

"I...I do not know Your Majesty. All I knew is that he was very powerful." Robert replied.

"And where can I kind this Alster Barlow now? Is he here in Graymoore?" The King asked.

Robert swallowed again, sadness etched into his features. "He's dead," he said quietly. "Alster and his family were brutally murdered in their home up on the hill. He was such a gentle and kind man. I can't understand why anyone would do such a horrible thing to him." His voice softened, the last words spoken almost to himself.

"Was his killer ever found?"
