Chapter Two Diana

I moved from my last apartment because I needed a change. I found a small apartment to move into in the meantime. What I didn't expect was for my next door neighbor to be my ex lover, Melissa Hendrix.

I go up the creaking metal staircase with two boxes with my stuff stacked on top of each other. I wonder how old these stairs are, shouldn't they replace them with safer ones?

I walk into my apartment. The brown cardboard boxes stacked on the side of the kitchen wall, making me ick. I play some music and start unboxing.

My phone dings, I reach over and grab it.

I'm outside, open the door.

"It's open!" I shout. The door doesn't open. My eyebrows scrunch in confusion. I get up and open the door. I peek my head out and see my sister; Amy, talking with Melissa. They look over-Melissa quickly looks away. She smiles at Amy and goes back inside.

Amy pushes me out the way and walks into the apartment. "An excuse you, or good morning my lovely dear sister, would be nice."

"You're not lovely, my dearest sister." Amy says, mockery in her voice.

I roll my eyes. I swear she loves me.

"Sooo Melly." she says. I roll my eyes again. I walk past her and sit back down on the floor. She scoffs and sits across from me. I start mentally preparing myself to never hear the last of it, for at least a couple months.

My sister stares at me in silence, I know i'm making a face- she wouldn't be looking if i wasn't, but my face muscles have a brain of their own.

"She doesn't seem to like you very much." She breaks the silence.

Really? No shit? I couldn't tell.

I stand up and put a Mac and Cheese into the microwave.

"You're seriously going to eat Mac and Cheese-microwave Mac and Cheese for breakfast?" she pauses, "Is that why you two broke u-"

"Shhhh, just shut up" I know what she's about to say and I don't want to hear it. She giggles and keeps unboxing things.

Asshole.
