Chapter Six

"Greetings my princess, you sent for me" Mazi Jude spoked as he came to the second floor where Princess Fina sat with her two maids.

"Yes Uncle, I did, I have been bored all these while, having no one to talk to except my two maids and father doesn't even still want to permit me to go outside of these palace gate" Princess Fina spoked. "You can seat" She beckoned on her two maids to excuse them.

"No my princess, thank you but I can still stand, am not that old" Mazi Jude replied.

"Really, but your hair are already grey in colour and you seem older like my father, or am I seeing in double now" Princess Fina teased and the elderly Mazi Jude smiled.

"No, My Princess you are seeing clearly" He replied.

"So I ask you to seat, it wouldn't be nice for me to be seating, while my elder is standing, even though am the princess of this land that doesn't still give me the permission to mistreat my elders, so I am commanding you to seat" Princess Fina spoked with authority while pointing at the next couch opposite across to hers.

"Okay my Princess" Mr Jude went to the opposite seat and sat down carefully as he was already getting old.

"So what do you need me to do for you my princess?" Mazi Jude asked as he kept his gaze low.

"Well nothing much, I just want you to rest a bit as I saw my Father's new wife wouldn't allow you to rest" Prince Fina spoked.

"Oh, is nothing my princess, I am just doing my job" Mazi Jude said, looking downwardly.

"Well I know your just doing your duty as a palace guard, but she's supposed to know you ain't as young as other butler and maid we have in the palace, she seems cruel to me."

Mr Jude smiled hearing her, "Is nothing to consider, so long I can do all she ask of me" he replied.

"Okay, let's not waste much of our time talking about her, how about you, have you heard or spoken to your son?" Princess Fina asked, curious to know about Mazi Jude son.

"No my princess, j haven't, am also not allowed to leave the palace like you too."

"Oo! We are on the same train then, but it been long. Ain't you worried about your son, like what he could be doing, if his back, whether his fine or you know married" Princess Fina said.

"Well, I always hope his fine, Am sure his doing well, Mr Son has always wanted to be a doctor, and am sure he must have graduated by now from the University, and probably working as a doctor," Mazi Jude said.

"Oh! I never knew your son his a doctor how lucky of him to have a supportive father, Mr father only wants me to be in the palace and learn the ethics as a princess should, he doesn't even see it fit to send me to college except I study I at home or entertain home tutors" Princess Fina rants.

"I think his Majesty, knows what best for you" Mazi Jude said, but Princess Fina refuted, "He cannot seem to know what's best for me, not when am imprisoned in my father's mansion and not allowed to see the outside world" She said with heads bent low.

"I just wish I wasn't a princess, now I will be forced to also marry someone I do not love or wish to marry," She almost sob, "So tell me when do you think your son will be back, at lest I will like to meet with someone who has gone farther and beyond from Elly kingdom?" Princess Fina asked.

"Well I hope he doesn't return my princess, is best for him to have a good life and pursue his dreams, if he comes back home, your father will arrest him and detain him for disobeying his orders and having me punished in his place, I do not want Almond to face any of it " Mazi Jude explained.

"Almond? What a beautiful name, Is your son handsome?" Princess Fina ask as she blushed, Mazi Jude couldn't respond he also smiled back at her, "I don't know about that my princess, but am sure his not looking bad either, he will have grown into a masculine man by now" Mr Jude said.

"Oh! That will be left for me to found out the , when I finally meet him" Princess Fina said smiling to herself.

"But am sorry to disappoint you my Princess, I do not pray or wish for Almond to return, I cannot bare to loose my only son."

"Oh, that means I wouldn't be able to see him then, how I really wish to see what he looks like, am sure he will resemble you" Princess Fina said and Mazi Jude was quiet, Just then a maid came in and bowed her head.

"What do you want Ester?" Princess Fina questioned shifting her gaze away from Mazi Jude to look at her maid.

"Am sorry to intrude my princess, but Queen Anna request for Mr Jude to come to her floor" Ester replied bowing her head.

"Can't you just go back to her and tell her Mr Jude is helping me out" Princess Fina replied, just the Mazi Jude stood up, "My Princess this shouldn't cause any problem between you and Queen Anna, I will go to her just now, when am free I will come to see you before retiring for he day," Then he turned and left not waiting for Princess Fina reply.

"Grrrr!!" "Princess Fina gritted her teeth as she glared at the maid whom bowed her head not dating to look at the princess.

"Get out!!" Princess Fina yelled at the maid and she ran out.

"That lady is always stepping on my toes, just because she sees that me and Mazi Jude are close, she want to do things to piss me off, is okay, I will see how it goes." Princess Fina stood up and went downstairs, to go stroll in the garden, she knew to well the second Queen whom is also her step mother, is up to no good but she wouldn't let the so-called new Queen ruin her mood, she really had a nice time talking to Mazi Jude, so she just seem it fit to allow the old man go. And beside she has more power in the palace compared to the new Queen, whom if it wasn't that she was pregnant, her father King Cartus wouldn't even dare to listen to her. Princess Fina frowned as she knew how depressed her mother had been since when her father had finally agreed and married a new wife, first it was her mother that was insisting and now she's the same person that's also depressed, Princess Fina shook her head not wanting to get depressed like her mother, she decided to stroll the garden to receive some fresh air, before she goes back upstairs to see her mother in her chambers.

Minutes after strolling the garden, admiring the beautiful plants and flowers, she turned and went back to the castle, As she was about going in, she saw some men dressed as a delivery agent, coming out from the palace, 'What could they be looking for in this palace,?' Princess Fina wondered, as she asked herself, she wanted to go forward and ask why they had come to see her father, bit she thought against it, as she knew her father wouldn't even give her listening ears, She turned and went up back, using the back door, going up the stairs to her mother's chambers as the castle was a built in a two in one storey building.

Reaching in front of her mother's chambers door, the guards standing there and guarding the door, spotted her and immediately bowed their heads as she approach.

"Greeting Pride of Elly" The first guards said while the rest greeted her faintly, "Greetings our Princess."

"Greetings, and peace be until you all, Is my mother indoor?" She asked as she looked at them

"Yes your highness, you may go in" One of the guard opened the door for her to go into her mother's room.

Princess Fina shook her head in appreciation as she went in to see her mother, her mother's chamber was bigger and more spacious than her own chamber that had been given to her since when she was a little girl.
