THE DISCORDS OF HIGH SCHOOL

Chapter 3: The Rivalry Heats Up

The tension between the popular crowd and the misfits continued to build. Zara and her friends made snide comments about our clothes, our music, and our interests. Muna and her friends would usually fire back with witty comebacks and sarcastic remarks. I tried to stay out of it, but it was hard to ignore the constant drama. I always felt the urge to confront them, especially Zara, and give them a piece of their own cake. It felt so horrible to not be able to do anything about the whole situation. I was just waiting for the day that I would finally get to meet with her face to face and feed her with her own breast milk.

That day I had always dreamt of finally came. One day, Zara and I had a confrontation in the cafeteria.I was alone on one of the tables having a sip of my soda with small bites of my burger. That was going to serve as my breakfast and lunch because I woke up so late today and was in a rush so I missed breakfast. I was about to take a bite of my burger when I noticed Zara and her crue staring at me with so much hate in their eyes.

She walked up to me and asked why I would chose to be part of the misfit instead of the cool kids like her.

"Who I choose to mingle with isn't any of your business i'm sure,so if u don't mind I was having lunch before you stepped in and there are so many empty tables except you want to join me, I wouldn't mind you know", I replied sarcastically. I could sense how embarrassed she felt from her facial expression.

She sneered at my outfit, calling me a "poser" and a "wannabe." I stood my ground, telling her that I liked my clothes and my music, and that I wasn't trying to impress anyone and even if I was, it definitely wouldn't be her or any member of her crue. She was so infuriated. The exchange ended with Zara storming off, but I knew the rivalry was far from over.
