"Where do you stay? I can drop you off," Jonathan offered when they got to the car park.
"There would be no need for that, I will take the bus," Whitney refused. She felt that he had already done so much for her in one day, and it would be too much for her to allow him to drop her off.
Although he said he was doing it as a class representative, it did not change the fact that she would owe him for all the things he had been doing for her. Whitney felt that he had done so much already.
"Then let me drop you at the bus station, it's on the way," Jonathan said. He had expected her to reject his offer to send her home. He had been watching her and realised that she was not someone that liked to take advantage of others' kindness. He had first mentioned taking her home so that she would be unable to reject his offer to drop her off at the bus station.
"Thank you," as expected, Whitney did not have a choice but to get into the car. They have already walked such a long distance to get to the car park. It would take another ten to fifteen minutes walk to get to the bus station. Since it was on his way, she felt she might be too hypocritical to reject him, so she got into the car.
She had no idea that some of her classmates had seen the scene and taken a picture. It had already gotten the attention of everyone that the two of them were together. Now that they even left in the same car, it was immediately confirmed that they were dating.
The person that took the picture sent it to his friend (our class representative really got together with the book warm) this was the message attached to it when he sent it.
Of course, once he forwards the picture to one person, it will definitely spread. Whitney did not have any close friends in class. She was always the first to leave after every lecture. This was because she had been trying to contact customers and make sales. All she cared about was her books. She did not even notice when the course mate that helped with the job withdrew. She thought it was because she was busy. A few students also worked part-time jobs, but they still had friends.
Whitney was known as a bookworm because of her results. So many people could not really say anything about this relationship. After all, she had a favourable impression in class, so those who had a crush on Jonathan could only secretly hate her.
The news got to Samantha. When she saw the picture of Whitney getting into the car with Jonathan, she almost smashed her phone. It was fortunate that her father had just gotten her the latest phone brand. She was scared that if she broke it, she would have to use an older version. Even if her father pampered her a lot, the phone price was high, and it was not something she could lose after a few days.
She immediately called Marian, "how true is the picture you sent me?" She asked the moment the call was answered.
Marian took a deep breath, she knew that Samantha would be in a bad mood after receiving the message, but she did not keep it away from her. "It's real. Our classmate had seen it and taken the picture," she replied.
When Samantha heard this, she was angry, "that slut, can't she look at herself in the mirror," she cursed. Her voice was so loud that Marian had to take the phone away from her ear.
When Samantha said this, she was not satisfied, but at that time, she noticed that her father was trying to call her, so she hung up the call without another word.
Marian sighed; she was not surprises by her action, after all, she knew that Samantha always liked to put on air. Although she did not dare to say it, she was happy to see her lose something she cared about.
She secretly gave Whitney a tom up but also pitted her. After all, she knew that Samantha was not a person who would swallow everything that was sent to her.
On the other hand, Samatha had picked up the call from her father. "Daddy,' her voice was so sweet, but her father could tell that his daughter was in a bad mood. He had just returned from the meeting when his secretary told him about Samantha's call. So he called back.
"Why is my princess sad?" He asked. He was wondering who would dare annoy her. Everyone knew he was a director of Smart cooperation they repeated him a lot.
"I am fine, just tired from class," Samantha lied. Her father had told her to concentrate on her school work and not keep any relationship. She needed to graduate with a good result so she could quickly join Smart cooperation.
"Okay, then why did you want to visit the company earlier," he did not force her to tell him what was wrong.
"I heard that there is an opening in the company. I wanted to know if I can apply," Samantha said.
"No, it's a full-time job to work with the president. If only you had graduated, it would have been a great opportunity," Her father said. The regrets in his voice were apparent. He did not regret that she was yet to graduate, but the fact that she was female and would not be able to work on the top floor.
"Oh," Samantha said. She knew Whitney had clearly mentioned Smart cooperation. Since there was no part-time slot available, she concluded that she was lying. She quickly rounds up the conversation with her father, thinking of the best plan to expose Whitney.
She was confident that when that happened, Jonathan would be disappointed with her lies, and the relationship would come to an end. Thinking in this direction, Samantha finally had a smile on her.
