In a town called Camelton lived Susine Verlak, a demon bearer and a werewolf turned against her will by a powerful guild. She is now a part of the ‘SaberFate’ guild hall along with her friends Bruno, Kaleb, and Carla. After a dreadful dream one night, Susine and her friends set out on an adventure to turn her dream into reality. The four troublemakers were met with various obstacles which included Carla’s motion sickness and facing their rival guildhall. But what they didn’t know is that Susine’s past will come back to haunt her… In such times of complicated scenarios, they are made aware of an unexpected truth that is linked to the blinds of the past. Choices were to be made and betrayals to be suffered through. What will they choose?

CHAPTER 19

I could hear something. It was the birds chirping outside the window. It took a few moments to familiarise myself with the surroundings. I am not at the mansion anymore, it is Lucas’s house. Lucas can be trusted. Taking a few deep breaths I got out of bed and headed to shower.

The water was warm and calming and the scent of lavender filled the room making it relaxing and releasing some of my stress from the past few days. When I got ready and out of the washroom, Kaleb was still asleep. I slowly went outside the room, letting him rest and restore his energy, and headed downstairs for some breakfast.

It was nearly afternoon when I got down, but there was still some food on the table so I helped myself with some toast and orange juice. Lucas was nowhere to be found and when I asked the maid, she said that he would be here and that he had gone for some work.
