Chapter 39: Believe My Intent, Not the Lies Spilled

Elanor didn’t ask about what the demons did, she didn’t want the details. She just knew that whatever had been done was deserved.

They arrived on time, before sunrise and seeing as she had already hitched up and the horses they were gone before anyone was the wiser.

Two wagons, both which were supposed to hold supplies, and wares, were now filled with supplies and people.

From her count there were 21 adults and seven children, four girls, three boys. Adults was a loose term though as she was pretty sure only two of them were older than 21.

For now, things were fine, almost everyone was asleep besides her and whoever was steering the wagons.

She crawled to the front, taking in the sight of Leylin steering one wagon and Rostrada steering the other.

“I didn’t know you could drive wagons.”

“I. Can’t.” Lelyin gritted out, death gripping the reins and Elanor chuckled before quickly climbing into the driver’s seat and taking the reins out of her hands.
