L̶i̶f̶e̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ being

Sometimes she understood why her father always sent her away. She wasn't a typical type of princess like her older sister, Marrietta.

Marietta had the perfect body (which shouldn't have been an issue if she weren't a princess but she was), slender and with sharp pretty delicate curves that accentuated her beauty, perfect grades when she was in school and perfect long wavy hair that sometimes Neera envied alot.

For a royal that was perfect plus she was a good diplomat with good negotiation skills that had granted her father alot allies. Marrietta carried a charm that Neera didn't possess.

On the other hand, Neera was a plus size she had a nice body too but royally, she was fat. Although, Jason didn't share the same sentiment as the rest of the royals, he said she was sexy and beautiful.

That's why regardless of his sloppy kisses she still appreciated him so much. Sometimes she called the royal physician to check up on Jason's mother in case she got her heart attacks.

For the grades part, Neera was good at math mostly and her mother was always the first to say that she was the best at it so she joined the royal treasury to help during statistics taking.

Neera's hair were a perfect mix of red curls. Very bouncy and very messy sometimes. She loved them and so did her mother since she had the same gene of red hair.

And lastly her habits weren't to die for, she snuck off her room some nights to go see Jason and spend the night with him. That was immoral, for a princess, but that was the least of her problems.

They were used to her behavior and didn't want to change it. So she understood when her father sent the royal embarrassment away.

All that unnecessary noise and whispers which were muffling Connor's responses dissapeared the minute she walked inside that door. Her thoughts were silent and so was the room.

Something inside her pushed her to close the door behind her knowing that probably it would lock up and leave her trapped in the room.

She walked in curious and flipped a switch connected to the ceiling. The room was large so the little light didn't reach the expanse of the room.

It was a living room actually but most of the furniture was covered with white silk sheets that shone under the luminous orange light.

She uncovered the furniture while touching each one of them. There was a mirror at the corner of the room which was painted white such that one couldn't see themselves.

She ignored the rest of the items for uncovering and proceeded to uncover the table.

A sick feeling inside her anticipated to check the table like it had some treasure but it was just a normal mahogany table.

Unless it had compartments then it wasn't normal. It's locks were on its sides so she flicked them open and slowly opened the top of the table.

She wasn't very eager to see what was inside, she was just curiously enthralled.

A cloth lined the top of the glass ans she eagerly pushed it away and what she saw made her heart skip a coupe of beats.

Her breathe was stuck in her chest as she sat on the carpeted dusty floor and stared inside the glass compartment with someone's body in it.

Was he dead?

Why were his eyes so black? They looked like some bottomless pit that she couldn't seem to look away from.

But she did, her gaze lowering to study his outfit. It looked like those from the books she read in her history books.

Why was his skin so pale?

And lastly, Why was everything in her urging her to look something and break the glass to have a closer look.

Her eyes scanned the room and landed on the glass mirror. She hastily took it and readied to break the glass.

Something inside her made her feel like she was responsible for his state inside the glass which made no sense.

The glass easily broke spluttering the glass shards on the figures face and body.

She removed the walls enclosing him effortlessly placing them on the uncovered seats.

A knock bothered her out of her trance, "Princess? Please Open up!?"

Connor's voice dripped with fear such that she quickly forgot about her newest discovery and ran to the door to open it but just as she'd guessed earlier, it was locked.

"Connor?" she called but there was no response.

"Princess please help me!" his voice was further away, he was running out of the temple which she would call a wise decision.

Then total silence followed, a banging of doors slash the main gates and a loud growl.

She tried the knob again pulling it back but nothing happened.

She was trapped. She groaned facing the room and sliding to slump on the floor, her hands to her face.

She wasn't to blame for any of this except locking herself with a corpse and a room full of the most ludicrous of items.

She crawled and sat beside the cold lifeless body( she wasn't really sure if it were lifeless) contemplating on what to do.

She needed this lifeless (if it were lifeless) body to wake up.

"What do I do?" she placed her elbows on her folded knees to have a closer view of his face.

It was a he, from his jawline and short golden brown hair which was ruffled. And he was attractive. Way more attractive than Jason in ways more than one.

His features were sharp and chiseled with a jawline that could cut glass though his skin seemed to regain it's colour.

Not the pale color she'd found him in.

His eyes glinted like polished obsidian staring at nothing on the roof of the room.

She removed the glass particles from his face and hands and clothes. His skin was too cold for his own good too.

She stood and started to look for alternative ways to help herself out of the tricky situation she was in.
