15:45 PM.
Haruto stepped out of the supermarket with groceries and walked toward his apartment.
It was Saturday.
Sora and Nanako had already sent messages saying they were coming over today, so Haruto needed to prepare more ingredients.
He wanted to invite Mafuyu for dinner so she wouldn't have to eat a bento or cup noodles again tonight.
And tomorrow afternoon, Haruto needed to go home.
He hadn't been back in a while, mostly because he didn't want to listen to his mom's nagging. There were a lot of misunderstandings due to his relationship with Sora.
Even though he repeatedly reassured her, his mom wasn't fully convinced.
The reason? Sora was beautiful, so naturally, his mom assumed he liked her.
But that wasn't the case at all!
If Haruto truly had such feelings, with Sora's attitude toward him, he'd probably be lying in a German orthopedic hospital bed by now!
But things had shifted.
It was because Haruto had sent his mom a photo of himself and Miku at a shopping mall.
After that, his mom finally felt relieved.
After all, Miku was a very beautiful girl. With such a stunning girlfriend, how could he possibly stay focused on Sora?
So from that moment on, his mom's control over Sora became less strict.
Sora and Nanako weren't his biological siblings; they were two stepsisters after his mom remarried.
Because she was a stepmom, his mother paid a lot of attention to his interactions with Sora, mainly for the harmony of their new family!
For that reason, Haruto could actually understand her concerns.
Aside from the Sora issue, his mother was quite good to him.
But now, the only problem was...
"Haruto-chan, make sure to bring your girlfriend home tomorrow, okay?"
Haruto declined, "She's not free tomorrow."
Bring her home?
When the relationship hasn't even been confirmed, how could he bring her home? Even if he wanted to, with Miku's character, she'd be way too embarrassed!
Mom was silent for a moment before speaking in a sad voice, "Haruto-chan, are you still angry with me? If so, I won't meddle in your business with Sora anymore."
"Haruto-chan is all grown up now and doesn't like his mom anymore."
Haruto was covered in black lines.
He was fed up!
It wasn't that he didn't like her; he was just busy!
Left with no other choice, Haruto reluctantly agreed.
If he didn't, his mom would keep complaining about how her son had grown up and started to hate her.
As he climbed the stairs and rounded the corner, Haruto's eyes suddenly focused, and he saw a girl squatting in front of his door.
In a daze, the girl lifted her face and looked up, revealing an incredibly pure and bright smile.
Then she shouted, "Onii-chan, you're back."
But the girl squatting at his door wasn't a ghost.
Haruto's expression darkened as he walked closer and looked at the girl at his doorstep: "Yotsuba, what are you doing squatting here?"
That's right.
The person squatting at the door wasn't Rikka, but Yotsuba!
Yotsuba was the only one with shoulder-length hair, and she always had that silly bunny-ear ribbon tied to her head.
"Hmm~" Yotsuba opened her sleepy eyes, lifted her head, and rubbed them. "Kuromori-san, you're back."
Was it even a question of whether he was back?
The real question was, why was she here, squatting by the door, and why did she fall asleep?
"I didn't mean to." Yotsuba stood up and stretched, her well-endowed chest immediately catching the eye. Then she bent over, lifted her face, and looked at him seriously: "Kuromori-san, please be nice."
She casually came to a guy's house and asked him to "train" her? Did she not realize how bad that sounded?
Haruto couldn't help but think about the concept of training.
A cute and pretty girl shows up at his house asking him to "train" her. Shouldn't he be too excited to control himself?
Haruto suppressed the urge to complain and took out his keys to unlock the door with a blank expression.
"Come in."
"Got it."
Yotsuba closed the door, slipped on the slippers Haruto handed her, and neatly arranged her shoes, just as she always did.
Haruto took out two bottles of drinks and handed one to her: "Yotsuba, what brings you here out of the blue?"
Yotsuba opened her bottle, and after hearing this, her expression suddenly grew downcast. She took a deep breath, got off the chair, and said, "Kuromori-san, help me!"
Haruto immediately pulled Yotsuba back up. "What's going on?"
"Hmm~" Yotsuba's face flushed slightly, and she whispered, "Isn't the exam coming up soon?"
Haruto caught on: "So, you came here because you want me to tutor you?"
"Uh-huh." Yotsuba nodded quickly, then looked up eagerly, clasped her hands together, and pleaded, "Kuromori-san, I know it's a bit much, and it will take up a lot of your time."
"But…" Yotsuba said with a serious expression, "I won't let Kuromori-san's time go to waste."
Yotsuba took a deep breath and declared earnestly, "So, today, I will help Kuromori-san clean, do laundry, and cook."
Haruto responded flatly, "I don't need it."
"Woo~" Yotsuba cried pitifully, immediately grabbing Haruto's arm and pleading, "Kuromori-san, please help me~. If I fail this exam, my dad will be really upset."
Seeing Haruto unmoved, Yotsuba bit her lip and looked at him with a red face: "No matter what, I'll agree to one of Kuromori-san's conditions."
Haruto: "Agreed!"
Yotsuba: "😐"
Haruto looked at her and slowly said, "It just so happens that my family is short on maids, so Yotsuba, you understand, right?"
"I don't understand." Yotsuba clutched her head in despair and said, "Kuromori-san is bullying me."
"Pervert."
"Big pervert!"
"Degenerate!"
Haruto kept a serious face: "I've decided. Now I want to see Yotsuba in a maid outfit."
"Right now?" Yotsuba looked at him wide-eyed, then shrank her neck and cautiously said, "But I don't have a maid outfit. How about next time?"
Haruto stood up, walked straight to his bedroom, and used his superpowers to summon a maid outfit.
That's right.
Only one set.
And it even included white stockings.
Seeing Haruto actually produce a maid outfit, Yotsuba instantly panicked.
