Chapter 3:Chosen

Eleanor was called to be a protector three years back,when she was fifteen. Her class was on a field trip and suddenly had an accident. But when she woke, she found herself in a dark cave. She was really scared at first because she was nyctophobic. But even in that fear she tried not to scream and call for help, instead she tried to look for a way out. As she continued walking aimlessly around the cave, she bumped into someone and she felt her heart race as she fell on the floor. "Who's there?" said this melodious male voice that sounded so familiar. And at that moment the room lit up, but as soon as she looked up at the person she became so unhappy, and by the look on his face, the feeling was mutual. "You"she said so unhappy to see her handsome arch nemesis,and the worst part of it was that she fell on the floor in front of him, not that he saw it or anything(it was really dark). But it didn't help her ego one bit cause she was still on the floor, she quickly stood up and dusted herself from the ground. "What are you doing here?!"he partly yelled, "uhm duh genius I came to enjoy the view,and by the way where are we, did you kidnap me so you and your gang of all stars could murder me to your satisfaction". He was about to say something but reasoned what she said.

Adam Brent was Eleanor's crush turned nemesis. When Eleanor got into middle school into middle school,he was her biggest crush, that was until he showed her what a jerk he was. Eleanor was also quite popular in school for being the daughter of the richest man in Asia. They both gave each other a hard time.

So Adam listened to her words and reasoned out the fact that he also did not know where the heck they were and he wasn't going to argue with her,and instead just look for a way out. After that they didn't talk much,Eleanor was busy admiring the drawings on the walls of the cave,it was covered in war scenes, drawings of mystical creatures, gods and the universe. And one scene even depicted the creation of the gods by the creator, but of course Eleanor didn't know and just saw it as art, weird art, and with a definitely stranger artist. Like who would draw in this dark cave.

Suddenly the cave began to rumble seriously,"what did you do?!"Eleanor yelled,"it wasn't my fault,I didn't know there were rock buttons on the walls of this damn cave!!","just when I thought the only thing the universe did was to keep me in a cave with a lunatic,I just found out that the lunatic had also planned to kill me!!","could you just shut up for once, I'd feel good if I didn't have to hear your voice!!". While they were screaming at each other, the rumbling got worst and the most terrifying part of it was they felt the ground going up,"what's going on!!" Eleanor said. It went up faster and faster, and then,to a halt. Then suddenly a door in the wall opened up. They were so dizzy from what just happened and seeing the door open didn't make them feel so good. They heard voices coming out from the room,"what's the worst that could happen?, I'm already stuck in a stupid cave with a stupid girl"Adam said as he walked towards the room, Eleanor just hissed but she followed behind but not too closely. As they entered the room they couldn't believe their own eyes. There was a girl with extra pale skin, another with wolf ears,and a guy with wolf ears and a tail,there was another guy with a sword, they were all sitting on chairs with two extra sits. They also looked like they were waiting for someone,"do you think they've been waiting for us"Eleanor asked,"I don't know but they look like mystical creatures". Eleanor suddenly burst out laughing and everyone stared at her, the four in the room looked at them, Eleanor tried to hide but they had already caught her. "Come on in" the guy with the sword said, they both walked in"pls sit down",they obediently sat down but when the guy with the sword told them the story of the protectors and their origins,Adam and Eleanor burst out laughing again. The protectors had to give them proof so decided to introduce themselves and their powers, the guy with the sword started first "I am Kai,son of the queen of witches and leader of the protectors,I hold the power ring", next was the pale skinned girl"I am Draculaura,daughter of Dracula and I hold the vortex ring", next was the girl with wolf ears" hi I'm Clawdeen, I'm half human and wolf, I hold the tech ring", and the guy with both ears and tail did his introduction last"And I am Eric,I'm Clawdeen's half brother and a full werewolf, I hold the shape shifting ring" and as he said that he shape shifted into Adam, and after that they were convinced.
