Blake slowly opens his eyes. The thud he hears makes him think that he hit the person. He is a bit scared no knowing whom he hit.
"What should I do?...What if he is a good person?.... what if I made them more angry by hitting them like in the movies?"these thoughts run through his head.
"Forget it...why should they have held me when they don't know me?..."He brushes his guilt off. "But what if it was Irye or any of the family members?"
He takes in a deep breath before turning to look at the person. To his surprise, they are not there and he becomes confused. He looks to his sides. Could it be his imagination? He is sure someone touched him.
There, he decides to turn around and walk to his car.
"Boo" Someone startles him and he almost jumps back.
"Irye."he exclaims and pulls her into a hug. "Hey, where have you been?... I've been worried because you were not answering my calls and I couldn't find you anywhere around here."
Irye hugs him back and they stand there for some time holding each other before bringing a little distance between them.
"It's a long story...and we happened to have some troubles."Irye answers with a big smile.
Blake hugs her again."I missed you...a lot."he says inhaling her scent.
"Err.. I think you should refrain from doing that."I tells him. "I've not bath for days you know."She tries to push him back but Blake resists.
"I hugged you despite the fact I thought you hadn't bath for weeks..."Blake leans in and pulls her to him the more. "You are here talking about mere days."Blake chuckles.
"What do you mean?"Irye pulls from the hug. "By...weeks. We've been here for just four to five days. Do you miss me that much to see days as weeks?"She teases.
Blake laughs. "Whoa.. you getting hand of it now eh?" he looks at Irye seductively and smiles.
Irye keeps her posture and face expression straight. "It's not going to work okay."
Blake giggles."Well you caught me"His hand scratching the back of his head. "I did miss you...Frankly."
"But what about this week thing you are saying. All I know is that today counts as our fifth day here."
"What are you talking about? It's been three weeks and some days since you left."Blake says, confused. "Why do you you think I'd be so worried to come here?...Because of some days of not hearing from you?"
"No.. I don't understand"Irye says to herself.
"Said something?"Blake asks, wanting to know what Irye said.
"Give me your phone."An idea comes into Irye's head.
She kept track of the date to know how many days they've spent. Blake hands her his phone and she switches it on.
Checking the current date, she almost yells.
"How is it so? I can swear we've spent four days here. Today will be the fifth."Irye's face tells she is completely confused.
"Are you sure? I think you might have hit your head on something."Blake teases and laughs.
"Where are your things?"Irye's asks out of the blue.
"What?"Blake is lost.
"I don't think you came all the way here with nothing. You know better than doing that."Blake says sarcastically.
"Oh.."He now gets it. "It's back there. A bit ffaqar from here."he points.
"Let's go"Irye passes by him, pulling him behind her.
Back behind the boundary, the family wait for Irye to get back fast. They are hungry and Gerrard seriously needs a proper first aid.
After another while of waiting, when Evie couldn't hold on anymore, Irye comes.
Evie sees her and run to her but then another person comes to sight and she stops midway.
She looks clearly and recognised the person. She walks closer.
"Well I clearly spelt it to you that we needed food not a boy."Evie crosses her arms.
"Well..."Irye imitates her. "I brought the food you clearly spelt to me."
"Where? I don't see it."Evie says, looking around.
Irye opens her hand and places a key on it. She turns around and walks out through the boundary.
Coming in, she drives a car which amazes Evie and the rest. They stand up and walk to it except from Gerrard who's still resting and Grams who's holding the body.
Blake looks new to Claude abd Mae so they just stare at him. Irye gets down and walks to them.
"This is Blake, a friend" Irye introduces.
"Ouch am hurt."Blake says, holding his chest.
"Lo....Best friend actually."Evie gets what Blake tries to mean.
Irye smiles and shakes her head. Blake climbs the tail of the truck and uncovers the things he's packed there.
Evie opens her mouth, seeing them. She runs and climbs the car picking the things up and cuddling them out of excitement.
"Thank you Blake... A lot"Evie sincerely says and gets back to cuddling her new babies.
Blake looks around after everyone has settled down and he has introduced himself to those who don't know him.
He walks to the boundary and touches it. He feels a resistance from it and removes his hand.
He remembers what Irye tells him about the boundary and everything that happened during their stay behind it.
Although there are some things that do not fit, he doesn't bother asking Irye. He knows she's been through a lot and he's not there to make more trouble.
For now he should just keep his questions to himself.
He sighs and looks up at the sky. The family look at him. He doesn't know about Irye's mother. Irye didn't tell him about that and the family keep quiet about it.
Even though he will find out sooner or later, it's best if they don't tell him for now.
It's best if he finds out for himself what is really happening.
