Chapter 6..

Michael was taken aback by Sarah's apology.

He hadn't expected it, and he didn't know how to respond.

A part of him wanted to forgive her and move on, but another part was still hurt and angry.

"Sarah, I...I don't know what to say," Michael stammered.

Sarah looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Please, Michael, just listen.

I know I hurt you, and I'm so sorry. I was going through a tough time, and I took it out on you. It wasn't fair, and I regret it."

Michael felt a lump form in his throat. He wanted to believe her, but he was scared of getting hurt again.

"Sarah, I need time to think," Michael said finally.

Sarah nodded understandingly. "I get it. Take all the time you need.

I just want you to know that I'm here for you, and I care about you deeply."

With that, Sarah turned and walked away, leaving Michael feeling confused and uncertain.

As Michael watched Sarah walk away, he felt a mix of emotions.

He was still hurt and angry, but a part of him wanted to believe her apology and move forward.

Just then, Alex appeared beside him. "Hey, man, how'd it go?" he asked, nodding towards Sarah.

Michael shrugged. "She apologized, but I don't know if I can trust her again."

Alex nodded thoughtfully. "I get it. But here's the thing: Sarah's been acting weird all day.

I saw her talking to some suspicious-looking guy by the lockers. I don't know what's going on, but I think there's more to the story."

Michael's eyes widened. "What? That sounds serious.

Do you think she's in trouble?"

Alex leaned in. "I don't know, but I think we should investigate. Want to come with me and see what we can find out?"

As Michael and Alex snuck out of the school building, they couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement.

They were about to investigate a suspicious guy who might be connected to Sarah's apology.

"Where did you see him?" Michael asked Alex, his eyes scanning the surrounding area.

"By the old warehouse on 5th and Main," Alex replied, his voice low. "But be careful, man.

That place has a bad reputation."

Michael nodded, his heart racing. "Let's go."

As they approached the warehouse, they noticed strange symbols etched into the walls.

They looked like some sort of code.

"What do you think this means?" Alex asked, his brow furrowed.

Michael shook his head. "No idea, but let's be careful."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming from inside the warehouse.

They exchanged a nervous glance and crept towards the entrance.

As they slipped inside, they saw Sarah talking to a shady-looking guy.

He was handing her a briefcase full of money.

"Where did you get this?" Sarah asked, her voice firm.

The guy smiled. "From Malik. He wants you to use it for the project."

Michael's eyes widened. Malik? The same guy who had been acting strange in school?

Michael can't but wonder how is this connected to Malik .??
