Usually long hair flowing in the wind, while hitting my face, is a good feeling but its kinda annoying. I re-adjusted the hair length and made it long just at the top of my shoulders...I am now a imitating that purple-haired dude completely.

All I need now is a blue jacket, a sword and that yellow boots.

Too bad that I'm clad in all black leather from top to bottom, leather pants, leather jacket, leather gloves....and no swords but a metal baseball bat.

*SWAAARKKKKKKKK SWAAAAAAARKKKKKKKK

Ugh.

I was ignoring them for quite a while now but these sand lizards are still hot off my tail and they are being relentless in chasing me down.

*SIGH

I set the motorcycle to auto-cruise and made it slow down, while also retrieving the metal baseball bat. I guess violence is the only answer, monsters are a norm here based on first impressions.

The question is...is there a portal open somewhere or do they just respawn just like back in Gaion?

Anyway, I began casting "Strengthen" on the metal baseball bat, along with "Lightning Attribute" and "Kinetic Impact". A couple of pretty basic spells to enhance its durability and increase the damage of the metal bat, although it looks sturdy and tough but against monsters...well, experience tells me that it won't last long if its not buffed up.

I could go the easy route and just cast an AOE (area of effect) spell like a blizzard or chain lightning or even meteor...but its been a long time since I had the "personal touch" of bashing someones' brain out using a melee weapon.

"All right folks *tapping bat...say hello to my BIG bud right here."

Silently casting a couple of buffs on myself as I began to move: Haste, Attack Up, Speed Up, Agility Up, Regen Up and Defense Up, all of this would've been impossible if I was still using the Circle Method of my previous life.

By using the Magic Soul Core Method of the witch, I can cast spells like picking food off a buffet table with no hassle. The mana that comes from the cores are much purer and powerful compared to using the circle mana.

I don't need to cast Fighting Instinct as I was experimenting on incorporating my android body into the fighting mix. I created a special algorithm that predicts attacks based on sight and sound, without the need for a buff spell.

The metal bat was doing well as I bash a couple of Sand Lizard heads, how do I know they're sand lizards? My android brain is connected online and via the speed of light transmission, I can identify the monsters through a database, provided by said transmission.

I casted Mana Barrier, so that my clothes don't end up covered in green lizard blood, during the fight. I also found out that I can alter parts of my body, specifically the arms and hands into sharp, pointy and bladey weapons.

With Mana Barrier, my sword and spear like arms, have not gotten any blood on them, even if I pierce it through their brains through their eyes or weak abdomens.

I used my "flexible tentacles" to acquire the monster cores inside the bodies of the sand lizards, when the battle was over. These monster cores will serve as an excuse to enter that city on the map I saw before, trading is not uncommon and going as a newbie hunter or something, will give me access and entry.

But just in case, while I was busy dismantling monster bodies, I created an identity using some obscure deceased individual in the far past and swapped my face with theirs...I chose the near twin version of my face.

Once I'm done with retrieving monster cores, I continue on my journey towards the city, which is my goal...Frontier City. The godforsaken place near the outer edge of the Lush Plains.

Think of it as the checkpoint, before entering an areas that was much more teeming with life compared to this barren desert. This is one of my curiosities, why did the place turn into a desert, was it war or some magic gone wrong or was it an outbreak of powerful monsters?

My inner Archmage is curious and needs to be sated, I hope I don't forget it though since I can easily get distracted or something.

The sand lizards didn't let off, just how many are these mother's and where were they coming from?

I decided to create some fun and sped up then slow down to let them catch up, then I sped up again then maintained it...now my extra surprise was, I created an invisible Mana Barrier but this time instead of a sphere type, I created Baguette type barrier.

Imagine a wall in front of you while going 200 plus miles per hour...yeah it wasn't beautiful but it got the job done.

*SIGH

Only problem is the monster core retrieval is still manual, I gotta get me an assistant or something...maybe another android if there is some sold, because if there is a recycling plant there has to be a large manufacturing of robots that has a large demand.

At night, I erected a large barrier field, although I don't need sleep...my mind does in a way. I also ran the auto-recharge of the motorcycle, its built-in and decided to refill it even if there is still 40%, better to be full and not needing it than not full and needing it.

I was fascinated by the charging device, it draws mana from the air but can also use mana stones to fill it up and use as energy. The charging of drawing mana from the air is slow compared to using mana stones, according to the internet records, this was inconceivable in the past decade but through advancements in magic technology...it became possible.

I "slept" but actually just closed my eyes and reminisce about the past...

There was a long line of trekkers from the desert, various caravans some even using a tamed sand lizard as a beast of burden others used them as wagon pullers.

Could there be a tamer class?

There are also a couple of VIP looking vehicles, that are surrounded by guards, based on their attitudes and mannerisms. I've seen tons of those before and the more important or higher rank the VIP is, the more obnoxious and arrogant some of the guards can be.

"Get the fuck away! There's nothing to see here and stop begging for alms!!"

"Mama I'm hungry and thirsty!"

"Later when we get inside Frontier City, I'll buy you something...I just hope the entry fee is still the same of we may be forced to use the things that we should be selling."

"Water here fresh and cold! Its made instantly in front of your eyes by using magic, so you can be sure its fresh, clean and cold!!"

"Lizard kebabs, candies and Lizard stew! Fresh!! Comes with hardtack bread for every order!!!"

"Desert trinkets! Who knows it may have come from a dungeon or from an ancient civilization!! Price is negotiable!!!"

I turned off the engine and decided to walk along with the motorcycle, I erected a mana barrier (electric) on the sidecar, in case some people have grabby hands...they will get a bit of...shock!

Heheheheheh.

Before lining up, I put on a large dirty blanket I found back at the recycling plant, and made it into a DIY (do it yourself) cloak, to at least cover my face. I also made a makeshift turban, to complete the whole desert adventurer motif.

I could store the motorcycle in my inventory space but it would be far too unusual, for someone to get by in the desert without any means of transportation. Almost everyone at the line had some form of vehicle they travel in.

My estimate is by the time its my turn it will be close to evening, I hope there is no cut off period. But I was still prepared for this, I launched a worm virus online and its purpose is to scrounge money from online accounts, in small amounts so as not to attract attention.

I have successfully found the purpose of the crystal rectangle and it is some form of phone. Unfortunately its military hardware, so I got rid of it before coming here, who knows who owns that phone or whether it had some tracking device or something.

I need to get a phone.

Its basically the most basic necessity in this world, you make payments, trades and transactions using it and its the only thing that can handle the online money that my worm has been collecting...I wonder how much it has collected by now?

"Next!"

I was up so here it goes.

"I lost my phone in the desert when I was chased by sand lizards, so how can I get in the city so I can have a shower?"

"Well you have to pay 50 OC (online credit) but since you don't have a phone now, pay the equivalent using trade."

"10 big monster cores is it enough?"

"Fine. Only because I feel sorry for you because you don't have a phone anymore, what were you thinking?"

*SIGH

"I'll try to find a new one, directions?"

"Try the Adventurer Guild in the middle of the city, tell them Franco sent you, so I can at least get something out of this."

"Thanks man!"

*shakes his head

"NEXT!"

I walked a bit farther before starting the motorcycle back up, there are military vehicles everywhere and its a good thing I made modifications, by removing the military logo and dirtying up a few parts here and there of the motorcycle.

I also changed the license plate using magic and used an oldest registered plate that I found, while I was hacking the terminal back then.

The city is clean and not littered with poop or pee, compared to my previous first experience. Only the outside of the city is like a post-apocalyptic world, due to the monsters but the cities that are walled-in, are pretty decent enough.

I decided to check the Adventurer Guild first, as having a phone is the priority and if need be I can just buy it using my online money, I just hope they let me use it first before "paying".

I really need to check how much moolah I got from my thieving little santa worm...
