The wind blew some leaves towards Maria's face, scratching her on the hair. She opened her eyes and a sharp pain cruised through her head. Closing her eyes, she twitched her eyelids and opened them again. Sand and dust have already clustered around her face. She lifted her head and found out she was knocked out. Maria remembered exactly what happened to her earlier.
“The bat” Maria gritted, standing up, she tried to balance herself cause her head was still throbbing heavily, and a shower of dizziness was all around her. When Maria finally gained consciousness, many thoughts started flooding into her head. 'The bat, um— Kai!, Shit!“.
Buckling her knuckles at that moment, “Now, I have to get out of here. I want to find that useless bat, I owe it a good rap on the head”.
She nudged towards the woods. Luckily, she found fallen trees and something was under them, something big.
