The Third Test

Xia enters the third room; he notices that like before there is another line that he must queue on. After finding his spot on the back of the line, he peeks from behind the line to see what the test is about. He saw someone doing a body technique. The person tan skin turns gray like stone.

The test giver wrote something down on her notepad as she tells the cultivator to stop and go to the next test.

'Um.. Looks like an easy test'

Xia thought to himself as he waited for his turn in line, talking with Kathako as he waits. While Xia waited for his turn, it soon was Bai Wei turn. She looks at the instructor as she stated to explain how this test will work.

"You can use any technique you want. I will be grading your Qi efficiency. You can start whenever you want"

Wei nodded her head to show that she understood the instructions. Wei started to breath in and out, as she spreads her Qi around her body. She gathers her Qi in her hands. She started to increase the temperature of her hands, to the point that it felt like her hands were on fire.

She then concedes this heat in the middle of her palms. As she uses more of her Qi to connect the two centers of heat. The next second a lighting arc came from her right hand to her left hand. But the lighting did not disappear as she controls the lighting with her Qi.

The lighting moving like a snake around her hand and arm. The female instructor nodded her head as she wrote something down. A soft smile of Wei face, for she felt that her technique uses as little as possible.

"You may go now to the next test"

Wei nodded her head as she walks towards the next room. A few minutes after she took her test, it was Xia turn. The female instructor explains to him how the test will work. As he nods his head, to show that he understood.

"Alright kiddo! You want to use [Stone Skin] It will be weird if you started to use some of my more advance techniques"

'Makes sense.. I don't want to get my father's attention.'

Xia said to the ghost voice as he started to move his Qi around his body. He moves his Qi to his skin and muscles. He started to slowly think of the texture and strength of the stone. The texture of his skin started to lose its elastic characteristic. Becoming as rigid and gray as stone.

The amount of Qi he uses to cast such a simple skill was around 1/3 of his total Qi amount. The female instructor wrote something down in her notepad as she spoke.

"You may go to the next room"

Xia nodded his head as he stops infusing his Qi into his skin. The gray color wash away like it was dirt being moved by water. The rigidness of his skin broke away as it reveals the soft elastic characteristic once again. He breathes out in relief as he bows down to the female instructor before making his way to the next room.

"You really need to improve your Qi control, there was a lot of waster Qi in what you just did"

'Cut me some slack, I have just recently become a cultivator'

"Two years is not recently"

Xia giggle a bit as he nodded his head to what the ghost said. As he enters the fourth room he notices that there is no line, Zhihui is standing in the middle of the room, with circles, lines, and triangles beneath her very feet.

"An array? Oh, looks like this will be fun"

'Do you know what this is?'

"No fucking clue kiddo, but arrays always had some very fun effect on people"

'How helpful'

Xia said to the ghost as he looks around, moving towards a wall to sit down. It looks like it will take some time before the test started, so might as well sit down and rest for a bit. His legs are killing him from standing for such a long time. Xia arrive at one of the walls as he sat down with his back resting against it.

His eyes not leaving Zhihui, her soft and alluring smile was enchanting.

"Calm yourself kiddo! She is a married woman"

'I know I know…Plus I still have to talk to my fiancé.'

"You mean Ex-fiancé?"

'….'

Xia said nothing. You might be asking yourself how to come a talentless bastard like him even has a fiancé? Even if he is talentless, he still had some value. His father arranges a marriage between Xia and a woman from the Wu clan. All this of course done without his consent. His father acting like Xia should be happy that he even thought about him.

'She is not an ex; she just never sends a reply to my messages'

"Kiddo, in my time that will call being rejected. She might just not find it worthy of her time to tell you off and your father probably forgot to tell you as well"

'Could be.. But It's better to confirm things that to assume"

"Can't fault you for that"

Xia nodded his head as he eyes landed on a female figure approaching his spot. The woman with brown hair and green eyes sat down next to Xia. She looks at him as she nodded her head softly.

"Hello there, my name is Bia Wei"

"I am Jinshu Xia, a pleasure to meet you"

"Of course. Hey since you are from a clan that lives in this sect. Is this sect that rich that it allows a warrior cultivator to become a commander stage cultivator in a year?"

"What?- where you got this information from? There is no one in here tha- Are you talking about the Dragon Couple?"

"Dragon Couple?--- Zhihui and Ming are dating!?" She asks, as there were only two people that came to her mind when the word dragon was mentioned.

"Marry"
