At the Ross mansion,
Meredith sipped the tea elegantly as she watched the art portrait in the large gallery filled with paintings. Thousands of portraits but her eyes were fixed on one. That was her favorite piece. She had loved that art from when she was a young lady.
She has watched that art so much that she knows every single bit and inch of it, the year it was created, and the artist that painted it. It was the portrait of Johnathan Alviero Ross.
The proud woman enjoyed her noon and was doing what she loved doing when the spoilt brat barged in. She was in pain as she was hurt by the one she loved.
Meredith was perplexed by the sight of the young lady in that state as she dropped the cup she held, standing up to meet her.
"Are you okay ma chérie?" Meredith asked looking concerned as Genevieve lost herself and cried her eyes out reaching out to Meredith for a hug. This left the proud woman more concerned. She had never seen Genevieve cry before, there were no reasons for her too.
"Did something happen to you, my dear?" Meredith asked again even if she knew that it would be clueless asking Genevieve in this state. The young lady would talk when she must've calmed down eventually.
"Soledad". Meredith called the head maid that also stood in the room concerned. "Please take her to the room and prepare a warm bath for her". Meredith ordered.
She looked at poor Genevieve and caressed her cheek softly as she spoke. "I will be seeing you soon chérie, freshen up first, yes?" Meredith requested to look at Genevieve.
The hurt lady only nodded as she followed Soledad.
Curious Meredith watched the tall lady exiting the room as she thought of what had happened to her. It certainly cannot be a mere matter. Since she had known this child, she had never heard or seen her release a tear, not to think of sobbing.
She left the house pretty early, and she was excited when she was going, what could've possibly made her this way? The light-skinned woman walked to the balcony trying to figure out what had happened as both brows rose in a thought. 'Could it be Nicholas?' Meredith thought as she remembered that he wasn't in a good mood at the office.
She picked up her phone as she called Nicholas.

The chattering of the laptop was the only sound that penetrated the large dark room. Its light was the only light in the room and behind that, it held the dark man.
He was not calm. He promised himself that he wouldn't lose her again, that he wouldn't let her off his sight, and just like that she slipped out of his hands. Like a poof of smoke, she was gone.
His dark expression darkened the more as no one dared to interrupt his thoughts.
No, he can't just sit back and watch her out of reach, he had to do something. and by himself this time. Although he had sent his two best men out there, he knows that Tiger and Klaus are good at what they do but he must also do something from this side.
He sat back as desperation flooded him. He hadn't noticed the buzz on his phone. He looked at the large screen in front of him as an annoying buzz cut his attention. Strolling his eyes to where the sound came from, he picked up the device.
The voice at the other end sounded familiar and annoying but his mind was too occupied to recognize it. He fucking knows that voice!
He was too irritated to get a surprise call right now. the only call he wanted was from Tiger or Klaus, and with positive news to feed his desperation.
"What did you do to Genevieve?" Meredith asked as the dark man's expression became dimmer.
The fuck?
Did she seriously call me to ask about that fucking child? For fuck's sake he's had enough of Meredith constantly pissing him with her ridiculous questions and her constant manipulations. It doesn't fucking work on him. He hangs up the phone without uttering a single word to her. No one fucking tells him what to do. Nobody fucking dares.
The dark man is pissed. He hasn't heard any positive information apart from the fact that he makes billions in a day, nothing was exciting.
He stood up and walked to the balcony to watch the sunset. It wasn't different, in fact, he was tired of seeing the sunset, but it was pleasant to watch. A knock on the door sent his already boiled range to the roof as he tried to control himself. Maria walked in.
MARIA HUNVESSY - assistant of Tiger.
Tiger left her in charge of any important news before it gets to Nicholas.
"What are you? and how the fuck did you crawl into my home office with those tadpoles you call legs?" Nicholas burned.
"I'm sorry sir, but it is very important".
She muttered.
The funny story is that she was not even pissed or hurt by his words. That was how Tiger trained her to be around his boss. Fearless, bold, and smart. Nicholas would never stay amid dummies. That's like draining his life gradually.
He was finally calm and allowed her to proceed.
"Miss zhavia McKay just booked a meeting with you, sir". She stated as Nicholas breathed in the words she just uttered.
It can't fucking be true.
Did she book an appointment with him?
It obviously is a joke.
This big-eyed glasses lady is obviously playing with him. Does she fucking know what he is capable of?
He looked at her again. This time with that devilish stare that could crawl inside your soul and take your breath gradually. He was grim. Had always been.
"What did you just say?" Nicholas asked in that scary tone and Maria for the first time in her career felt the blood draining from her body. Damn! He scares the hell out of every freaking person.
"M-miss McKay booked a meeting". She stuttered
How is that even possible? He has his men out there searching for her and she just made herself vulnerable.
Something about her nerves turns him on. He fucking wants her.
