Chapter 19 lineage of power

 Her eyes met his, and she froze. Her breath was no longer hers. His eyes had deprived her of breathing. She managed to find her voice. "Nicholas". She called in a hoarse voice. 

     He started walking towards her as her heart rate fastened. Her eyes widened when he walked passed her and was totally ignored by him. Bodyguards were behind him as he walked.

     He had the look on, she saw. That same look he always had on whenever he saw her. The same devastating look that triggers her to always want to murder herself. The disgusted look.

He despises her. He detests her, and she hated it. She panicked. She called out his name again, but louder this time. "Nicholas!"

She turned in the direction he passed her to. He paused, ranged by the call, still backing her. He put his hands in the pocket of his pants to avoid clenching his fist. 

"You're not happy to see me, are you?" She asked in a hurt voice. The room was dead silent. Bennett that stood in front of the elevator shook his head in disbelief for he knew that she was ignorant of the offense she had just committed.

 Showing her face unannounced, was an offense, hitting the maid was another, but standing before Nicholas Alviero Ross and not acknowledging the power he holds is a taboo.

"Do you have any idea of how long I've waited for your  return?" Genevieve said as her voice broke with tears. She never cries she had never known tears before but the man in front of her that she had loved for a very long time and had decided to ignore her had just broken her.

"And you're just going to ignore me? You're just going to ignore my feelings?" She raised her voice as tears raced down her cheeks. Left brow raised to her words.

He was furious. She still hasn't realized where she stood. Maybe a little torture would cure the ignorant brat of tumultuous thoughts. He thought.

He was just about to end the little charade of emotions Genevieve had just portrayed when the door opened to the huge figure. His maniac had just arrived. 

Tiger walked in. Knowing he had just interrupted something, he walked to Nicholas. He had been away for two months, that is a long time considering how close he is with his dark man. He never goes anywhere without him.

"You're late". Was Nicholas's first words as anger was forgotten. Lips arched as Tiger uttered his first words too. "Missed you too". 

There was no expression on Nicholas's face at all. "Don't push it". He said as he started walking towards the door with Tiger behind. 

Genevieve stood in shame as she sobbed. She was totally ignored by him. Time hadn't changed anything at all. He never saw her worthy. She was always a shadow to him.

Bennett still stood but this time, he had a smile on his face. The rude brat had hit the maid so hard that she was hurting so bad, but Nicholas had only ignored her without laying a finger on her and the hurt she feels is a hundred times higher compared to what the maid felt. He thought.

The old man was excited, not only because Genevieve had just gotten what she deserved, but because Tiger had returned. 'Now Nicholas wouldn't sniff him for dinner whenever he is hungry for torture'. He thought as he walked back to his Chambers.
