Chapter Seven- Engagement

"Someone is waiting for you in the library" Liv told me.

Natalie and I were taking tea in the garden while Aaron and the king tried to search for the video of last night.

I excused my self and went to the library.

When I arrived someone covered my eyes.

"Who is it?" I asked trying to get the hands of me.

"Guess" it was a male voice.

"Mmmm... Dad?" the voice laughed

"No"

Finally, I took his hands off.

"Tomas!" I hugged him "You're back"

"Yes I'm" he said kissing my lips. "I missed you"

"I missed you too" I kissed him again.

"Have they treated you right?"

"Rowena..." Aaron said entering the library. "Oh, hey I didn't knew your brother was coming back."

"I didn't knew either."

"It's good to see you your Highness"

"Rowena I came because my father and I have to talk to you about something"

"Okay, I'll see you later Tom." I have him a hug

"See you later Ro"

"Please sit down" the king said "What happened yesterday was no coincidence."

"Father..." he was interrupted by the king

"Rowena I'm sure my son already told you what is going on"

"Yes, he did"

"Perfect! Today you'll pick out the engagement ring and tomorrow morning Hiram magazine will be here to cover the event." he said giving me a copy of the magazine "The wedding will take place in a few weeks in the garden."

"Rowena... I know this is all overwhelming but..." Aaron held my hand "We're doing it together if you don't like something you can tell me, okay?"

"Okay"

"Now, the lawyers will come in a few minutes."

When someone gets engaged they have to sign a contract, swearing loyalty to their new fiancé.

The lawyers came in and started reading the contract.

" A) Lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA swear to obey the law and marry the prince, by signing this she is agreeing to become Lunaria's princes and taking her place in the monarchy.

B) This contact is a vow of purity which means both lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA and prince AARON OF LUNARIA are virgins and will wait until their wedding night to have sex.

C) In the contract also says the couple must have their first heir with in 2-3 years of marriage.

D) If lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA doesn't behave properly the king or the prince can send her to a behavior school.

D) If lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA cheats on the prince during the engagement or marriage she will be declared a traitor to the crown and will be executed immediately unless the prince says otherwise.

F) Lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA must satisfy the prince in all his needs." I interrupted him.

"I do not agree with that and if the prince cheats on me he also should have a punishment, also we'll have kids whenever we want too not when the contract says" Aaron squeezed my hand. He and I both knew his father wasn't going to like that I questioned the contract but it's unfair.

"I also want to cut the part where it says we can send her to a behavior school, please change that to the prince promises to respect lady ROWENA OF LIPHIMA and not to send her away for saying her opinion" The room went silent as we walked out of there.

"Thank you for doing that" I said as we were looking at the rings.

"I told you it's my duty to protect you." he smiled

"That is perfect" the photographer said as she took a picture of us looking at the rings." Now I want one in which you kiss passionately" Aaron and I looked at each other. We haven't kissed a lot of times and it's still...

"Rowena..." Aaron said.

"Yes?" I asked, and he pointed to the photographer waiting for us to kiss.

We looked at each other and he smiled.

He got closer, our eyes meet, he graved my chin as I wrapped my arms around his neck, his lips touched mine, as always they were soft. The kiss was an innocent kiss after all, the pictures are going to be published in a few days with the engagement article.

"Thank you for your time, know we want to choose the ring" Aaron said to the photographer.

The ring is supposed to be a secret until he proposes so for now only us can see it.

Aaron and I ended up liking the same one, so he put it in a box and saving it somewhere safe for tomorrow.

"Well that's it" I said opening the door "See you at dinner."

"Rowena, wait"

"Something is wrong?"

"No. Everything is fine... I just" he scratched his head "I want to ask you to a date tonight."

"A date?"

"Yes, I when I told you I wanted to know you I was serious, I want a real relationship not someone I'll ignore when we're not in the public eye." he walked closer to me "So... would you go too on a date with me?"

"Yes, I will" I smiled at him.

"Perfect I will see you at 7:00 in our room" he kissed my cheek and walked out.

Natalie helped me get ready, she and I really got along.

At 7 o'clock Aaron was already at the door waiting with a bouquet of red roses.

"You look beautiful" he said kissing my hand.

"Thank you" I blushed.

Aaron told Natalie I needed to wear comfy clothes, so I was wearing a jeans, tennis and a leather jacket.

The prince offered his hand and we started walking.

"So... tell me what do you to spend your free time?" Aaron asked

"It depends, here I'm normally with Natalie, back home I used to ride horses with Tomas."

"Oh... so you and your brother are close?"

"Kind of" I decided to change the subject "What do you do? I always see you in your office"

"I'm normally busy with kingdom stuff, but when I have time I like going to the town center and observe people." he laughed "It sounds creepy, but I do it to imagine my life without royalty."

"We are here" he said when we arrived to a table full of candles.

We ate, laughed, I really felt like we could be a real couple.

"So my father argued with my mother for years because the dog ruined my dress" We both laughed

"You are gorgeous" he said getting closer.

We started kissing, it wasn't like all of our other kisses, this one wasn't weird, it was passionate.

His tongue entered my mouth, I moaned.

I wanted more. We both wanted more.

He started moving his hand lower and lower, suddenly a guard passed by us.

"We need to go somewhere more private" he whispered putting our foreheads together.
