the one that left by the betrayal

Luhan sat uncomfortably in the driver seat. He feel like he wanted to slam his hand in the steering wheel and poured all of his anger to the girl beside him but he just couldn't do it. 

"I suppose this is the time you have to tell me what's going on." He growled and kept his eyes in the road. It was an order, not a statement.

"It's my birthday okay? Mom and Dad said they would come." Aera said out loud but not brave enough to look at Luhan.

She knew Luhan was now in his dangerous state, which became the reason she could not look into him.

"And where are they Lu? You said they probably on the way to here a month ago. But you know what? Instead of them I found Benders." Aera voiced out her frustration and caused Luhan to hit the brake immediately. 

His breath was heavy, he even did not look to Aera who almost hit her head in the dashboard, luckily she wear her seatbelt. 

"Bender?" Asked Luhan. He didn't even bother continue to drive, causing Aera to glance outside the window and realize they already arrived in front of their house. 

"Not one, there were 3 of them. I never saw any other Benders beside you, mom, and dad here in earth. And I think one of them was a fire bender." She explained and just at that time Luhan looked to her. 

His face clearly still showed madness and she could noticed the veins in his knuckles as he gripped the steering wheel. 

"Get off." He said coolly.

"But..."

"I said get off Aera! Before I make you to." Luhan half yelled and Aera opened the door almost immediately. 

She glared at Luhan once, before closing the door and running inside the house. 

Meanwhile Luhan rubbed his temple and turned off the car. He then sat there in silence, realizing that Aera's words before might influence his decision.

"Apparently the King finally found the missing ship." He said quitely and looked to the front of their house. 

He saw that Aera's room in upstairs was dark from her window, means that she doesn't even bother to turn on the light. 

Luhan sighed heavily and got out from the car. He make his way to the house and straight to Aera's room. He wanted to knock the door but hesitated and just opened the door instead. His eyes traveled to the bed where Aera sat in there while looking at him, clearly she knew that Luhan will be following her.

"What?" She asked and looked to him in flat face. Luhan slammed the door behind him and stared at her. 

"You know what this is mean right?" He asked and stood in the middle of her room. 

Aera now starred to him with mix expression. Mad because the recent event with Luhan, scared because the earlier one in the forest, and curious after hearing Luhan's question.

"What do you mean?" She watched him with eyes that were now half lidded, she doesn't know why but she had a bad feeling about it right now.

"You found Benders instead of Mom and Dad in the forest, that only means one thing. Something happened to them" Luhan explained and walked closer to her. He actually wanted to say sorry and make up with her, but there was much more important things than that.

"I'm leaving tomorrow" He added, making Aera jumped out from her bed and stood in front of him. 

"You're kidding. Why? And I'm sure Mom and Dad are fine. Maybe their ship just has some trouble, so they are not here yet" She looked up to him, somehow always admiring his figure, even in the dark room at this moment. When the moon was the only source of light .

"They're not. There are no other reason for the Benders presence in here if it not for the lost ship. I need to go." Luhan said and saw Aera's eyes were already full of tears. He seemed shock because he never saw her crying for the last 4 years. 

"But..." She started 

"I'm sorry. But I really need to check up on them, I need to know if they are alive." He raised his hand and cupped her left cheek.

"I'm coming with you." She said

"No. You will be here, you need to keep the lab. Do not let those Benders find it. I'll distract them away with the lost ship." He said while rubbing his thumb over her tears. 

"You are just try to get rid of me don't you?" She said suddenly and this time he looked straight into her eyes, guilt and madness tinted in his eyes, his crystal purple eyes that was now painfully beautiful were staring at her.

"All of these years and you still think of that? You do know how I feel about you Aera, ever since Mom and Dad brought me here and I met you." His other hand reached out for her arm and gripped it tight. It was beginning to hurt, but she ignored it. 

"You know even though mom and dad want us to be brother and sister I will never look at you in that way." He continued, and keep staring at her. 

"Then prove it!" She snapped "Prove it if you never look at me in that way. Prove it Luhan!" Aera's glistening eyes drowned Luhan and he leaned in, bringing her face closer. 

Luhan then brought his lips toward hers. So she closed her eyes, expecting for one thing that will finally happened. After painfully waiting all of these years. Hoping she would finally got the evidence of Luhan's words. 

He also then closed his eyes, and bring their distance closer. He knew that he wanted this thing for God know how long. His heart was aching all of this time for not being able to prove his feeling to Aera. He opened his lips, ready to capturing hers. 

But then his head reminding him of the consequences, so instead he brought his lips painfully up and pressed it in her temple. Just like any the other countless time when they almost did it. 

"I'm sorry...." He murmured replacing his lips with his temple instead. He put their temple together and put another end to their kiss attempt just like always. 

Aera sobbing quitely and grabbed the front part of Luhan's shirt to hug him. Luhan grabbed the back of Aera's head and ruffled her hair, trying to calming her down.

"I'm such an idiot, for expecting that will happen." Aera whispered between her sob.

"I'm so sorry..." He said again and released her. He looked deeply into her eyes, trying to sending his untold words.

"Go sleep, I'll see you in the morning." Luhan slowly pushed her away to the bed.

But Aera keep steady, unmoved. She didn't want to get into the bed. Her minds blurred with a lot of thoughts. Her parents broken promise, and now Luhan who seemed to cannot love her no matter how hard he try... 

She was too preoccupied with her thought that she didn't even realized Luhan already walked away and opened her door. 

"Lu..." She called out, but Luhan ignored her.

He opened the door widely and walked out, leaving Aera alone, still standing in the her position. 

Luhan already shut off the door and started to walk in the hall when Aera's voice heard called out for his name again. 

"Luhan!!!" She called out again, this time louder and Luhan trying his best not run back to her. 

He gripped his hand and walked down the stairs, going straight to the back yard. 

There he stood without knowing what to do. His head was spinning, and he just want to break something. So just right after that a sound of broken window glass were stabbing the night, following by the million of pieces fragment scattered on his left side. 

He then looked to the nearest garden lamp, and just when he thought of it. The lamp broken into pieces. 

Luhan did not stop at that. Now he lifted up his hand and a fire started to quickly form in it. He threw the fire into the grass and burned it down. However it only caused a small damage. This is somehow angered Luhan. He lifted up his hand again. The fire started to getting bigger, burning all grass that surrounding it and expanding to all over the yard. Luhan even heated up the temperature, causing it  to burn down not only the grass but also the soil. He just didn't care. 

Everything turned into ashes because of his fire. Then he looked up to the moon, the moonlight shine and illuminate all around. But he wanted to do something with it. So he reached out two of his hand, as if he wanted to take out the moon. But what happened next was sure breath taking. He control the moonlight. So that the only places that shine by the moon around there was his burning back yard. He didn't want the other to have the light. So in his neighborhood, the moon did not shine into other places but his yard. 

That just how selfish and powerful he was. He wanted the window and glass or even the lamp broke in pieces, then, be it. He wanted to burn the grass in there, hell he turned his back yard into ashes. And lastly, he even stolen the moonlight just for himself to watch his own burning show. He could do anything when he wanted it. But he couldn't do one thing. He couldn't even prove his feeling to the one that he always protect. He couldn't kiss someone he wanted to be with no matter how much he longed for her and that was driving him crazy. 

The yard was unbelievably hot, and he could notice that the temperature in his surrounding heated up to the max, his neighbours might get suspicious. Their house may located quite far from each other but if this continue someone might notice something happened. 

So then he put down his hand, and just with that. The moonlight back to shine normally, and all the fire that burned down all of his backyard gone. Aera must be surprised to see this tomorrow, but he didn't care. 

He turned around and notice the window and lamp. This is one thing that Aera shouldn't know about his ability. So, he melted the scattered glass to the liquid and it soon bundled up with the ground. At least, she will not suspicious tomorrow. He would change the glass this night. If only he also could change his faith, he gladly change it as easy as he change the window glass.
