the late prince

Chen lazily walked in the palace toward the atrium. He just came back from the Military Medical Division to visit Lay, and now he was completely alone. Sehun and Tao were still on their way to the palace. And he had no idea where are the 3 Generals that would be his team on a mission later.

He passed a few rooms that used to be the old residence for his family. He then noticed the hallway toward his old room and decided to visit it.

He stood awkwardly in front of the door before scanned his finger on the knob. The door vibrates a little before finally opened from him. He walked inside and inhaled the familiar scent. It had been too long since he was here for the last time.

His father insisted to move him from this room 2 years after her mother passed away, and he never visit this room ever since. The room still looked the same. His bed neatly set and the drawer still in the same position.

He walked to one of the drawer, opening one of them. He found a few things that reminded him a lot of his childhood. Chen then opened the next drawer beside it and found a few toys that he used to play a lot with. He raised one of them and smiled a little. It was a replica of an old space ship and he never left from his hand back then.

He was smiling a little bit at it when he noticed some noticeable scratch was still there just like the last time he left it. It was a present from one of his friend, but strangely he couldn't remember who gave it him.

He met Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Kyungsoo when he entered the Academy. He also close with the other Generals. Who was 1 or 2 years older than him. Then he met Sehun and Kai in his last year in the Academy because of some certain reason, and they are good friends too.

He narrowed his eyes when he read the words that scratched into it. He couldn't believe his eyes, he wipe it a few times and it still didn't change. Chen's face now changed into shock. He did not remember at all about who was the one gave him the toy that became his favorite.

But now, after all of this year's when he now could understand lots of thing. It all show the truth. His mind wondered to the prisoners that he visited a few days ago in the deepest cell. Rodin definitely mentioned names. Name that he never knew but somehow ticked his memory a little, as if he ever saw or heard it. And now he realized why he felt the name was familiar.

Because at his old favorite toy, scratch just like the first time years ago when he first got it and haven't changed at all. A little faded, consumed by the time, but still clear enough and readable. Carved in its surface, the first word that Chen able to read before anything else when he was a little.

"Where is he?" Xiumin asked worriedly to the other Royal Team members. All of the team members that led by Xiumin were standing in front of the Atrium. They were all ready to get in the room, but Chen was out of sight.

"The guards told me he arrived an hour ago. Maybe he fell asleep?" Sehun answered but not sure either with his words.

"Tch. That rascal, Lets just get in. He is a prince, I'm sure his punishment would be lighter if he was the one who's late." Xiumin told the others and entered the room.

Zunro already waited for them. His face looked tired and dark circle started appear under his eyes. But other than that, he look normally fine. His outfit was neatly smooth and made his figure looked taller. The crown in his head shone as usual and brought his handsome face more apparent.

He noticed their presence and straight up his position. However his expression fell a little bit once he notice Chen was nowhere in a sight.

"My King" Xiumin stated himself, bowing deeply. The other did the same as him.

Zunro nodded and then sat in his throne. His facial expression was hard to read and he gestured one of his guard to bring something. The guard nodded in response before disappeared into his station behind the throne. A few second later he was back with a medium touch screen board in his hand. He handed it to the King and after that returned to his place.

"After a view research, we already determined your destination for the mission." Zunro said, touching the device. Suddenly huge pictures appeared in front of Xiumin and made them stepped back a few times.

It was a picture of an outer space and different constellations of stars.

"It will cost you a month to reach the destination galaxy, and another month to go back here. There is one particular planet in this galaxy where you will be finding Unit 365. It was a space ship that used by Rodin and Fen Li 4 years ago. They lost it and it has some of the most important results from their research. You don't have to bring the entire ship, just bring out the thing you thought important." Zunro explained. Now the pictures displayed them a blue green planet with one planet satellite.

Kyungsoo looked at it curiously because it reminds him a lot with his own planet. It made him suddenly miss his family back at home.

Then the door of the Atrium suddenly opened, Chen walked in and looked completely blank. He paced toward the others and stopped beside Sehun.

"Sorry I'm late." He mumbled once Xiumin in a hearing distance.

"We only know two things about this planet. First it has intelligence living beings. We didn't know what they looked like, but based on the data they don't bite, i guess." Zunro continued his explanation, ignoring the fact that his son just entered the room.

"Your team will be called Unit X and you need to pack immediately because you're going tonight. I'll give the next explanation once you're on the ship."

"Yes Sir!" They answered in unison just like a habit.

"Oh and I forgot to tell you about the second thing. The planet has a name. And it's called Earth."

Now that Unit X officially formed and will launch on a mission. The rest of the Wielder Generals and Royal Team feel more nervous waiting for their fate. The King had already announced they would be called as Unit O from now on. There has not any future news regarding to their mission, but still they try their best to research about The Core of Life.

As soon as Baekhyun, Suho, and Yi Fan got out from the Government. They quickly went back to the Military Headquarter. They contacted Lay and agreed to meet him in his office on the left wing.

Baekhyun quickly shoved himself into Lay's office like some criminal in the hiding, closing the window on the process. Lay just sat there in his seat, not sure of what to do seeing Baekhyun's behavior. Seconds later Suho and Yi Fan entered the room, they looked pale. Lay was about to ask what's the matter but Yi Fan raised his hand

"We'll explain later. Where's Kai?" Yi Fan asked. He was guessing Kai probably already headed off somewhere.

"He just got a call to prepare the space ship and load it by the king. He'll be here once he's done. What's the matter?"Lay answered in curiosity. He signed the three of them to sit and they obeyed.

"Why? Did something happen?"lay asked again, Suho now looking worriedly to Lay who seemed disturbed.

"I'll explain it later. Now what is it that you want to show me?" Just as if it was his cue, Baekhyun put his device and connected it to the screen in front of them. He scrolled and tapped a few times before finding what he had searching for.

"Don't ask how we got this. But Baekhyun just had an idea about the prisoners that you visited a few days ago. The King said they went on some research 12 years ago and now captured after finally found guilty by betraying all of us for The Fervent. And now we got the mission out of sudden. So he thought just maybe, there's a possibility their research was also about The Core of Life." Suho explained. All of them looked tensed.

"How could you thought of that General?" Lay asked to Baekhyun who was sitting beside him.

"Listen. It all makes sense. The only thing that The Fervent wants for us is none other than The Core of Life. The prisoners were a betrayal and conspirate together with the Fervent. They must be knew something about The Core that provoke The Fervent to plan a war." Baekhyun replied quickly without stop, causing him ran out of breath.

"Oh and don't forget how the King knew that it has a gate. Senior Suho was the brightest Academy graduate and even after he read almost half of the book in The King library, he still found nothing" he added quickly even before the other opened their mouth to respond. They stunned heard Baekhyun explanation.

He was never a fan of theory subjects since in Academy. It suprised them how he now stated the idea of his analysis that none of them ever thought. Even Suho was taken aback for the second time that day realizing how make sense his words.

"Why are you guy's so silent? Let's check this shit." Baekhyun exclaimed but Suho glared at him. The other didn't even bother tough.

"Stop cursing. That is not how a General should speak." Suho reminded but then gasped when he saw the first few words on the file.

"Holy shit!" Suho said not believing what he saw. Now the other gasped hearing Suho was the one cursed not even a minute after he advice Baekhyun.
