Qin Ruan's eyes widened instantly.
Her pupils contracted, and she couldn't help but lean forward, her voice urgent: "Sister, is that true?!"
As her warm breath brushed across Wen Yixin's face, Wen Yixin steadied her rapidly beating heart and looked closely at the excited, somewhat overwhelmed person in front of her. She nodded lightly, "It's true."
"That's wonderful." Qin Ruan beamed with joy, her smile wide and her eyes curved into crescents.
Wen Yixin, caught up in her happiness, couldn't help but smile softly too, thinking to herself:
Maybe this idea of dating her isn't so bad after all.
In the empty room, the two stood close together at the small table, the space between them shrinking until their breaths intertwined.
Qin Ruan's eyelashes fluttered as she gazed at the lips just inches away. She held her breath, slowly lifting her head to press a kiss on Wen Yixin's lips.
It was a brief touch.
Foreheads resting together, Qin Ruan's breath was unsteady. "Sister..."
"I like you so much," she confessed, gently rubbing her forehead against Wen Yixin's, before tilting her chin and kissing her again, this time lingering a little longer.
The lips she kissed curved slightly, as if in a smile.
Qin Ruan didn't understand, but she didn't have time to think about it either. She simply followed her instincts, gently licking Wen Yixin's lips.
The next moment, she felt a pair of soft hands wrap around her neck.
Wen Yixin responded by deepening the kiss, her lips moving gently against Qin Ruan's...
Qin Ruan's heart pounded wildly as she instinctively slid her arms around Wen Yixin's slender waist.
As the kiss grew more intense, Wen Yixin unknowingly ended up sitting on the table behind her. She leaned slightly, her hands wrapped around Qin Ruan's neck, and their breaths intermingled in the small space. The mirror on the table trembled slightly, reflecting the image of their intertwined bodies.
Qin Ruan's hands began to explore, her fingers brushing up under Wen Yixin's shirt, slowly moving upwards.
When her hands reached a more sensitive area, a soft hand gently stopped her eager one.
Wen Yixin pulled back from the kiss, holding Qin Ruan's hand and shaking her head slowly, "Not here."
"Sister..." Qin Ruan's voice was filled with a reluctant whine, not wanting to stop.
She wanted to continue because it felt so good. She had never imagined that being close to someone she liked could feel this wonderful, her heart swelling with warmth.
"Be good." Wen Yixin patted Qin Ruan's head. "That's enough for now. This isn't the right place for more."
The gentle touch on her head was light, carrying a comforting warmth, and Qin Ruan's restless heart gradually calmed down.
"Okay." Though still somewhat reluctant, Qin Ruan obediently withdrew her hand.
Wen Yixin couldn't help but laugh softly at her expression.
She pressed her reddened lips together, holding onto Qin Ruan's shoulder as she slid off the table. "It's getting late. Let's go home and eat."
"Alright." Qin Ruan supported Wen Yixin, not forgetting to hook the bag that had been pushed into the corner of the table.
The bag had originally been in the middle of the table but had been pushed aside during their time together.
At 7:30 p.m., Wen Yixin looked at the bubbling hotpot broth, quickly grabbing a pair of chopsticks to cook some beef in the strainer.
"Are you hungry?" she asked Qin Ruan.
Qin Ruan shook her head. "Not too much."
She had had a cup of lemon tea when they returned in the afternoon, so she wasn't very hungry yet.
As they talked, Wen Yixin had already cooked a strainer full of beef and placed it in Qin Ruan's empty bowl. "Eat some meat first."
Qin Ruan smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Thank you, Sister."
Wen Yixin smiled back but said nothing, turning her attention to cooking more vegetables.
Qin Ruan looked at the bowl full of beef, picked up a few pieces, dipped them in sauce, and then held them up to Wen Yixin's mouth. "Sister, you eat too."
"Don't just focus on cooking."
The scent of the beef wafted to Wen Yixin's nose, and she glanced at Qin Ruan. Seeing the hopeful look in her eyes, she opened her mouth and ate the beef that Qin Ruan had offered.
It was the first time she had been fed like this, and it gave her an indescribable feeling, like a warmth spreading through her chest.
She wasn't used to it, but she didn't dislike it either.
"Is it good?" Qin Ruan asked with a smile.
"It's delicious. You should try it too." Wen Yixin said as she placed some of the cooked vegetables into Qin Ruan's bowl.
"Okay." Qin Ruan responded, withdrawing the chopsticks she had used to feed Wen Yixin, and started eating the food in her bowl.
Wen Yixin watched Qin Ruan's hands holding the chopsticks, her eyes flickering with a thought, but she didn't say anything.
She cooked several rounds of food until Qin Ruan's bowl was full, then she began to eat her own food.
As they were finishing their meal, Qin Ruan suddenly paused her chopsticks, as if something had occurred to her. "Sister, you have the day off the day after tomorrow, right?"
"Yes, why?" Wen Yixin asked, puzzled.
Qin Ruan smiled. "Let's go out that day. We can make it a date."
Wen Yixin blinked, surprised by the suggestion, but it did sound nice.
"Sure."
"Where do you want to go?"
"I'll tell you tomorrow," Qin Ruan teased with a playful grin.
Wen Yixin sighed lightly, "Alright."
She looked at the remaining uncooked food on the table and glanced at Qin Ruan. "Do you want to cook anything else? If not, I'll turn off the stove."
She was already starting to feel full.
Qin Ruan shook her head. "No need to cook more. Once I finish what's in my bowl, I'll be full."
Wen Yixin nodded, turning off the stove. The bubbling broth gradually settled as the steam slowly dissipated.
The lingering steam briefly veiled half of Wen Yixin's face. Qin Ruan's gaze traced the curve of her profile, down to the graceful line of her neck, and her eyes darkened slightly.
That spot… she hadn't kissed it yet today.
She pressed her lips together, her voice soft as she called out to the person beside her, "Sister."
"Hmm?" Wen Yixin turned her eyes toward her.
Qin Ruan smiled, her eyes twinkling as she blinked:
"Can we sleep together tonight?"
