Chapter 21 Overdoses Lair

Ros is chained up, feet suspended above the ground, his back against a wall, blood running down his body and pooling on the ground below him. Ros is grunting and growling at the men torturing him. Soon, his torturers part ways for a man to walk up to him.

"Come on, I was just starting to have fun!" Ros yells out, but it was delirious and weak.

"What does he know?" The man asks one of the torturers.

"He doesn't know anything." The torturer answers.

"He's not worth our time then, you know what to do." The man orders and walks away. Ros lifts up his bruised, bloodied, and swollen face.

"What does that mean?" Ros yells out to the man, who ignores him.

"You know what he means." One of the tortures says with a hint of laughter in his voice, and a smile forming. Ros lowers his head and quietly starts to weep, he knows that his death is near.

"Dad, I'm sorry." He whispers to himself, his voice choking and tears falling from his cheeks.

BOOM! Out of nowhere, the wall from across the warehouse breaks open and a metallic beast appears out of the dust. The beast uses his tail to grab a confused goon and throw him at a group of men running towards him. A girl jumps over the beast and slams into the ground creating a shock wave knocking down several men surrounding the two. As the men were recovering, a few more super powered teens run through the opening in the wall and start attacking right away.

The man looks from his office area and calls in his secretary. She opens the door and asks him what he needs.

"Call in my enforcers, and have the serum passed out." The man says calmly, his secretary acknowledges him and walks out. The man then walks to his desk and pulls out several syringes filled with the black liquid.

Clarissa fires a wall of crystal shards at incoming goons, and they all go down. Then a man energizes his hands, runs up to her and slams his hands down creating a huge explosion which blows her back into a wall. Aurora, in her air form, rushes to her side and changes back. She kneels by her to check on her.

"Are you alright?" she asks while sitting Clarissa up.

"I don't think we can beat them, as long as they all have powers like that." Clarissa answers, then groans in pain.

"When will the boys get here?" Aurora asks, with a bit of worry.

"I'm not sure if I told them exactly which warehouse to go to." Clarissa answers.

"Let's hope that all of the commotion brings them here, or else we are done for." Aurora tells Clarissa.

"Yeah, let's hope." Clarissa replies, as she begins to grip her side. Aurora looks up to see more men injecting themselves with the stained serum and powering up. She begins to see how hopeless the situation is starting to get, as she looks at the other students. Lexi, even with her powers, is getting overwhelmed. Ronin, along with Tak, is on the floor bloodied and unconscious. Merry and Chase are fairing well, but have their hands are full trying to keep up with everyone going after them. Kenneth is captured and in enemy hands. Aimi runs up next to Aurora, who gets ready for one last stand. Then a black energy beam explodes and knocks back the encroaching enemy. Aio breaks through the wall and lands in front of the girls. As the dust settles, the girls see Aio, he has unstable blue energy surrounding his body. The energy is bright, surging and crackling, it was like electricity was enveloping around his body. Aio finally had the second layer. Right behind him, is Dark Void with black energy emanating from his hands, and finally Jake appears, the concrete around him turns into dust and reforms around Jake as armor. The armor was like plate armor from the Middle ages but it was more sleek and had no helmet, so Jake could move around with ease and was able to see his surroundings.

"You can't fight them, there's too many!" Aurora yells to the boys. Aio looks back at the girls, his face full of determination.

"No, it's time I take my revenge." Aio replies. The girls see the power surge around his body and go to his hands as he punches a man running at him. A small explosion erupts when Aio's fist makes contact with the man's face. The man flies back and falls to the ground.

Clarissa looks over at Aio and she sighs in relief at the thought of them being saved, she then blushes at the thought of Aio saving HER. Dark Void, runs over to the girls, and creates a black force field around them, then shoots black energy at the wall and makes an opening.

"Get out of here, you can't fight!" Dark Void yells.

"Thank you for saving us." Aurora says as she lifts up Clarissa with Aimi, and walks out of the building. " I didn't save you," Dark Void thought, "I just can't go all out with you in the way."

Jake runs up to lexi, and using small rock projectiles he formed from the cement, he shoots them out at the super powered goons running at them.

"What's up girl," Jake says, in a high pitched flirty voice. "The Calvary has arrived." he adds normalizing his voice.

Lexi looks at him and banters a bit. "Where? All I can see is you."

"Oh, you wound me." Jake jokes back, grabbing his chest pretending to be injured.

"Ok, back to reality, we need to rescue Ros. He's over there chained to the wall." Lexi tells Jake pointing to the far side of the warehouse. They begin to run over to Ros, a man steps in their way. His eyes turn red with energy, and uses heat vision against Lexi. The beam travels through the air and hits her, but it has no effect. She runs at him with the beam still hitting her with still no effect. When she reaches him, his eyes are wide with confusion. She just has one thing to say, "Nullifying powers.", before she punches him and knocks him out. Jake continues to make more projectiles that are formed from the cement on the ground, and pelts anyone who comes near them. This keeps the way relatively clear except for the few that breakthrough, who Lexi quickly dispatches.

They finally reach Ros, Jake breaks the chains and lowers Him down. He was groaning, barely conscious and was mumbling unintelligible words. Lexi grabs him, and puts his arm over her and begins to walk towards an exit.

"Thank you." She says to Jake.

"Anything for a pretty lady like you." Jake replies. Lexie has a little smirk and just rolls her eyes before leaving the building with Ros.

Jake smiling, begins to think incorrectly, "I am totally going to have a girlfriend after this." While still smiling, he turns around only to see five men entering the battlefield. He looks closer, there was something different about them, something terrifying. They pull out syringes, and inject themselves with the stained serum into their arms. What seems like the leader of the five men, grew to ten and a half feet tall, and his arms and legs grew muscular and veiny. Another one grew scales of a lizard, as well as a tail, his mouth began to extend out to a snout. One changed into living energy. One threw his arms up, and began to pull them down, the roof began creaking as a couple of metal support beams flew down to him. The last one didn't seem to change much as well, but the ground underneath him began to melt and boil as his body began to superheat. Jake then turns his attention to get Tak and Ronin out of the building and to the others, and get them to safety.

Dark Void runs towards Merry and Chase, they were getting overwhelmed by the amount of people running towards them, and jumping on top of them, trying to take them down. He shot bursts of energy at the group of men, when he reached the group he formed energy swords in both hands and started to slice left and right at anyone who dared to come close enough. Chase also makes quick work of those who remain, he grabs them with his mouth, and tosses them aside while whipping his tail around hitting all who try to sneak up on him. After they cleared away everyone, Aio, Dark Void, Chase, Merry and Jake stand side by side staring at the enforcers that the gang leader brought. Chase runs at the leader, ready to bite through his throat, but the leader grabs Chase's snout, lifts him up and throws him across the warehouse. Merry jumps in after Chase and tries to punch the leader, but he grabs her hand and crushes it. He then tosses her around like a rag doll, after he finishes, he throws her next to a detransformed Chase. Jake, angered by what he saw, unleashes a barrage of rocks at them. The energy being, flew right at Dark Void. Dark Void extends out his hand, and when the energy being touches him, Dark Void absorbs and kills him. He then directs his attention to the lizard looking man.

Aio attacks the leader, the leader tries to catch his hand, but a small explosion, from the punch, blows up the leader's hand. Aio then releases a flurry of punches directed at his face, and with each strike it pushes the leader back further and further. Finally, the leader is brought down to his knees, he looks at Aio.

"How? How is this possible." He asks.

"A life of dedication." Aio answers, then with one swift punch to the nose, he knocks out the leader. Aio then slumps to his knees and powers down. Out of breath he glances over to Dark Void who is slashing away at the Lizard enforcer. He then looks over to Jake who took down the metal wielder and is trying to take down the super heated villain but every rock that hits him melts away like nothing. Jake finally has enough of it and forms two great boulders and smashes them together with the villain in the center. When Jake separates them again the man falls forward onto the ground unconscious. Dark Void was also finished, the man looked like a lizard, had no tail one arm was cut off, and had several slashes on his body. Dark Void runs over to Aio who is still on the ground.

"You run out of juice?" Dark Void asks.

"Yeah, three minutes goes by fast." Aio answers out of breath. Dark Void places his hands on Aio's shoulders, and pours in his energy to replenish Aio's. After he finishes Dark Void walks to the wall and pulls out a lard wire and absorbs the electricity, the lights flicker as Dark Void finishes.

"Now that we are all powered up, let's move on." Jake says. The boys walk to the main office where the gang leader is. The secretary meets them and tells them that Overdose will be with them shortly.

"I am not waiting for him!" Dark Void yells as he flips the secretaries desk and scares her.

"That's no way to treat a woman." A voice says. The boys look over and see Overdose, the gang leader.

"You won't get away with what you did to Ros and the other kids." Jake says.

"I don't think you know who you are dealing with," He responds, then turns to his secretary. "Tina, take the rest of the day off." Tina scurries off as Overdose injects himself with the five syringes of the stained serum. He begins to morph into some hideous beast. He was twelve feet tall, with a large tail, and muscles, scales are covering his body, his hair is falling out and his body was super heating. He had all of his enforcers powers.

"I AM OVERDOSE!!" he screams out.
