Kevin Godhart POV:
I wanted to meet the boy who would become a leading in the Empire, Reinhardt Avalon. But his demeanor, it scared me, a being at Mana Class 2. It was because of those eyes, they were empty, it was as if there was no soul within him. They were the eyes of someone who didn't believe not put faith in anything, be it life, death or even God.
But what was more surprising was the he knelt immediately after seeing me, it seemed that he could sense my Mana. My Mana was suppressed but not fully, this was to make myself give off a strong impression to people who came to speak with me. But it wasn't something that a child could sense, but that reaction told me otherwise.
I smiled at the boy as I receeded my mana, I spoke in a softer voice so as to not scare the child,
"I hope you've enjoyed your stay here, I do hope that you and my daughter get along both now and in the future."
The boy nodded at my words and spoke,
"Yes, I've enjoyed my time here, and I feel the same way. I hope me and your daughter are friends for a long time."
I smiled at the rather adorable youth infront of me, he seemed to be rather empty. But I felt like if he and my daughter spent enough time together, I'd be able to count on him to help her out if the situation ever arose.
Reinhardt POV:
I bid Angelica and the Emperor farewell and was promptly taken back to the estate. I'd probably feel thankful if I had any emotions, but that lack of emotion was what let me get past Angelica's lie detector. She could tell if someone was lying based on their emotions, it worked on everyone except people like me.
She could read a person's heart, but I had no heart.
Speaking of hearts, tonight was when I'd turn Lillian into my pawn. She would awaken the power of the Flamesworth family, they had a bloodline ability which could affect life force. Her power would first manifest as the ability to generate life force, but soon she'd be able to create something called soul fire. It was something that burnt away at the essence of one's soul and it was powered by life force rather than Mana.
Speaking of bloodline abilities, if I was able to acquire a certain item I'd be able to unlock both my bloodline abilities. One was the Dragon's bloodline, the other was innate ability of the Rosenblade Marquis family, my mother's family. Their power was weapon creation and control, they normally had an easier time creating swords but they weren't limited to using them, the material they were made of wasn't actually known.
It was a material that was theorised to originate from another plane of existence, this was because the weapons they created could cut through beings like spirits which were normally intangible.
The item required to break my limits was called 'The Potion Of Renewal' it was an item that you could buy in the in game shop to hasten the bloodline awakening of your character and when given to another member of your party it'd both hasten their awakening and increase their level cap If they had one.
Buying the item unlocked a place in the map and would spawn a dungeon to find the potion.
Normally Reinhardt awakened as a mage far later, but I was able to use my previous experience to quicken my awakening. Although I practically had the potion in my grasp, I'd need some more allies. Wel, tbis
When I called over a butler, I instructed them to send in a group of Knights to the southern outskirts of the Holy Empire. And that there would be a village if they trekked on for an hour, and within that cave would be a dungeon where there would lie a chest and that they should recover the chest without opening it.
The butler seemed confused by my odd request but nodded his head and heeded my order. I expected the knights to be able to bring back the potion within two days at the latest. This was because we had cars, and Knights weren't really your stereotypical Knights, but just people who were highly trained soldiers. They were called Knights as they were on a vastly different level compared to normal soldiers who had only been through basic training.
Now that I had fixed the problem of my talent, I'd now heal the heart of my oh so dear older sister. Her mental state had likely deteriorated, because right now, no one was there for her. The maids had started neglecting her, because they couldn't really show any affection to someone who had attempted to kill their former master.
I made my way to her room and knocked on her room, I felt that something was wrong and rushed right into the room.
I then saw Lillian crying, she had lost a lot of weight and was deathly thin. She was on her knees and had a knife aimed at her chest.
'Shit she's going to-'
"DON'T DO IT!-'
She stabbed her knife into her chest and blood splurged out.
