The Voice In The Void

In a dark void.

Little Hui Ying was no longer a baby, rather it wasn't that she wasn't a baby, it was just that she was in a different body at that time, just a different form. She looked around with some fear in her heart and she was try hard not to cry though crystal clear pearls fell one by one from her cheeks .

The place she was in was pitch black, she couldn't see anything as if her eyes no longer worked. Hui Ying for the first time in her life felt the fear vanishing away from existence, the heart in her chest was rapidly beating as she could only here the sound her heavy breathing and her heart beating.

She tried to say something, but only some muffled sound came out of her mouth and as she wasn't able to speak, Hui Ying was unable to say anything for the time being though she continued to let out horrifying screams. Her whole body trembled in fear as she felt a splitting pain in her head.

And she felt a sharp painful sting in her heart as if she had already experienced this…..as if everything was an illusion….a dream….a nightmare….

But unfortunately, this was her reality….her fate.

"WHY?!"

"Why me?! Why me?!"

"What wrong have I ever done to you!"

"What sin did I commit to receive this?!"

"Sob….can you just let me go?!"

Suddenly, as if Hui Ying was possessed, she started scream in hatred and her purple eyes for a split moment turned crimson red.

"You did not do anything wrong."

"And indeed you never committed a sin."

"But we can not let go of you."

"Because….

All of this is your destiny, your fate…..

You are fated to be one of us.

And you always will be.

Even Hui Shuang cannot stop it from happening.

No one can."

A clear voice sounded out without a single ounce of mercy.

"Two weeks from now on you will go on a mission.

But since you only came into existence, you will give you some training.

Just so you would fail your first mission…your first game."

Now, baby Hui Ying came back as she looked confused and looked around to find where the voice was coming from but to her dismay, see couldn't see anything. And she was sooooooo baffled about what that man was saying.

'Why is he speaking like that?

Why can't I understand?

But I am hungry, I want Mama...'

Then next, the owner of the voice let out a sigh and said: "You can't understand me or anything else can you?

I will give you the ability to understand what others are saying and also the ability to speak all the languages, since you have no control over what kind of world you will be going to."

Suddenly, Hui Ying's blank little head was a lot clear though she was a bit slow to realize what he meant.

"…Mission? Game?...?"

"Why…am…I going to do a mission?...."

'Hmph, I just want to sleep!

Why is this person so annoying that he is going to make me do a mission?!

But a game sounds fun!'

The voice replied, "You are born to be one of us. And being one of us also comes with a lots of responsibilities."

Hui Ying widened her pretty amethyst eyes and accusingly said, "I was born to be a baby, then Mommy said that I will grow up one day and be like HER, then how did become one of you? And I am only a child, so Mommy said that I should only care about sleeping and eating, which means I don't have any responsibilities!

So you are lying!

But Mommy said lying is bad for your health, so next time don't lie otherwise you might even get a heart attack."

Little did she know Hui Ying's Mommy was also lying, otherwise Hui Ying will be extremely angry.

The voice ignored what Hui Ying said and continued one with he was going to say, "In this world, there is something called Movies. Which are made of scenes acted out by actors who act like the person they are scripted to. And this time you are going to learn about the world and train by watching a movie. And watching a movie is really fun and like little game."
