Talking To The Mastermind, And New Places
As Jason entered his room, he went straight to the table where his chessboard was on. The chessboard was arranged in a particular way, that he arranged before the trial. On one side, there were all of the black pieces, except for the pawn in H7. On the other side, there was only the white king and the pawn in E2. Jason then looked at the surveillance camera that was in his room and said:
"I got to admit, while pretty expectable, that motive move was pretty good. You managed to make me lose one pawn, and one bishop" Jason said and removed the pawn in B7, and the bishop in F8.
"However, I didn't sit and did nothing. I managed to move one of my bishops, and one of my rooks" Jason said and moved the rook that was in H8 to H6, and moved the bishop in C8 to A6.
"Not to mention, I also did put your pawn in danger of being removed..." Jason said and moved the white pawn from E2 to H5 (and before you write it in the comments, I know that it isn't a legal move. He's just putting the pieces like this to describe the current situation)
"I knew it the moment I saw you gave me the chess set. You're challenging me. It means you know me quite well, while I know nothing of you, which puts me in great disadvantage. But don't worry. I'm going to help my bishop and rook to become more capable, and soon enough, I'll get my other pieces into action as well, while you'll make more moves to remove more of my pieces.
Whoever you may be, you know me well, since you know how much I like challenges. And if you know me well, then it means we have spent a considerable amount of time together. At this point, it's obvious that the reason you erased my memories, is because my memories contain the answer to your real identity.
However, I don't believe you truly erased my memories. No, I think that you didn't erase them, but you blocked my access to them. Memories can't be erased, but the access to them can be blocked. And if they were blocked, then it means there is a way to gain access to them, a different way than the way to gain access to normal memories. All I need to do is to find it. And when I do, I'll be able to corner you.
It is kind of a race, isn't it? Will I be able to recover my memories and corner you first, or will you be able to remove me and my pieces first?
Being in a game like that, with the big disadvantage that I have... that is certainly a challenge I haven't faced before. This is very thrilling. I think that it's the first time in my life when someone truly challenges me, which makes you also very intelligent.
Let see who's more intelligent and will win the race, shall we?" Jason said with an amused smirk, still looking at the camera. Eventually, he averted his gaze and went to sleep.

In the morning, Monokuma called everyone to the gym. At first, Jason thought that he called them to execute some kind of response to what he said last night, but instead, the bear decided to have a joint morning training, though, the only one who participated was Kiyotaka. Eventually, Mondo had enough and asked in anger:
"Did you called us here, only to do some fucking exercises!?"
"Just to make you exercise!? Of course not! Do you think I have that kind of free time to waste!? No, I called you here because I have an announcement to make! Every time you'll survive a class trial, a whole new world will open up to you!" the bear said
"A whole new world?" asked a confused Yasuhiro
"It'll suck if you had to live in here forever, without anything new to stimulate you! So go ahead, and look around all you want! Enjoy the new post-trial world to its fullest!" the bear said and disappeared.
'A whole new world? I don't assume that he means the outside world, so that means it is something within the school, and if it's new, then it is something we haven't seen before. The only thing I can think of is maybe some kind of new attractions, or maybe he'll open one of the blocked places...' Jason thought, as the others were discussing what the bear meant until eventually, they decided to split up and investigate.
When Jason was about to go and investigate alone, he was approached by both Aoi and Makoto
"Harris-Kun, do you mind if I tag along on your investigation?" asked Aoi
"I also want to join!" said Makoto
"You can't. Like on the first day, I need to investigate alone, so I can focus, and receive the best results out of the investigation. Why won't the two of you will investigate together? You both are going to become my students in how to control your emotions, so you might as well get more familiar with each other" Jason said and left the two on their own.
The first thing Jason noticed immediately after he exited the gym, is that the stairs to the second floor are now accessible, so he immediately went up the stairs.
On the second floor, there was a swimming pool, that had separate locker rooms for each gender, and it seems you can only open the door to the locker room of your gender, with your e-handbook. Then, he also found a library, which within it, there was an archive, which contained a lot of... interesting files. It contained highly classified information and a bunch of more secrets that the normal person won't even dream of. There were also two classes and restrooms on the second floor.
But, there were two important things he found on the second floor, and both were inside the library. The first thing was a computer, which he should've been able to use the flash drive with, but it seemed nonfunctional. The second thing was a letter. In the letter was written:
"From Hope's Peak Academy Administrative Office,
For many years, we have dedicated ourselves to the cultivation of talented youth. The school – operating with full government support – has a long and proud history of producing the highest quality graduates in all fields.
However, this glorious work, for the time being, must be ceased. It was a hard decision to make, but the current situation has forced this decision. However, this does not spell the end for Hope's Peak Academy. We fully intend to restart operations as soon as the current situation has been resolved.
We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to everyone who has provided their support and assistance over the years. For now, we're waiting to receive official approval from the government before formally ceasing operations here at Hope's Peak Academy"
'This is interesting... according to this letter, the school has been closed, and judging by the amount of dust it collected, this letter is at least one year old... if that is the case, then why have I arrived at this school? I don't remember anything about the school being closed, or else, I wouldn't come here in the first place... the only explanation is that the answer to it is hidden inside my "erased" memories.
That is, in the case that this letter is real. And if it is real, then it also explains the absence of the rest of the student body.
I also need to figure out what do they mean by "the current situation"...
For now, I'll head back to my room' Jason thought and started to head back to his room.
However, as he was on his way to his room, he noticed that the bathhouse was open, and immediately entered it, and as he examined it, he smirked, as he noticed something extremely important. The bathhouse was the first place he found, that had no surveillance cameras and monitors within it!
Seeing that the bathhouse was now open, Jason decided to recheck the first floor, to see if other places were opened, and he found out that the warehouse was also open, and inside it, were dozens of boxes, containing food, clothes, and other conveniences equipment.
After he finished investigating, he went to the dining room, since they promised to meet there when they were over with the investigation. After everyone told what they found, some were frustrated that no one found an escape route and eventually, the night announcement was heard, and everyone went back to their rooms

Reading the comments of the former chapters, I was surprised to see that some of you thought that Jason is helping Aoi and Makoto out of kindness! (If it wasn't clear, the rook and bishop which he moved were Aoi and Makoto...)
Those who read my other story know that I don't write kind-hearted dense heroes, and I'm not planning on writing one!
