New Information, And The Swimmer's New Determination

"Well, that was a satisfying conversation. As I promised, I won't tell the others about you. Though, once we get more familiar with each other, I do hope that you'll tell me more information" Jason wrote, showed to the now named Mukuro, which is her real name, or at least the one she told him about, and then inserted the memo pad back into the suitcase, together with the chessboard and pieces, and left back to his room, while thinking:

'I received some useful information from her. While I didn't ask about the main things, like, who the mastermind is, or where is the mastermind hiding, since I knew that she won't answer those questions, I did get valuable information.

For example, now I know that we are being broadcasted to the whole world and that something is going on the outside. She also confirmed that not only they erased my memories, they erased everyone's memories, though, she did say that they erased more of my memories than the others, except for Kyoko, who they also erased the memories of her talent, which she refused to tell me about.

She also didn't tell me which memories did they erased from everyone and why did they do that, but I think that the answer is related to whatever is going on outside.

She did confirm that they're a part of some kind of organization, but she refused to tell me which, and what is their positions in the organization.

She also didn't tell me what happened to the real Junko, which leaves three options that I can think of:

Junko is either dead, and Mukuro didn't want me to know, or, there is a chance that Junko is a part of their organization, and maybe even the mastermind, or, something happened to Junko, and Junko herself asked Mukuro to replace her and asked her to not tell why she replaced her

She also told me her real title, which is the Ultimate Soldier, and that is very bad news to me, in the case she tries to kill me. She probably only told me that, to intimidate me. I just hope that my words successfully planted doubt within her, so maybe she'll cooperate more in the future...' Jason thought as he made his way to his room.

To his surprise, Aoi was waiting for him by the door to his room. When she saw him coming, she approached him and asked:

"Harris-Kun, can we talk for a minute?" she said in a very uncharacteristic timid tone.

"Sure. Do you want to go in?" Jason asked, puzzled by her unusual demeanor.

"Yes, thank you" Aoi answered, and they entered the room. After they entered the room, Aoi surprised him again, as she bowed in front of him and said:

"I'm sorry for shouting on you at the gym!"

"Well, I guess that I can understand why you did that. You're scared, and that is perfectly fine in a situation like this"

"Still, I shouldn't have done it. Tell me, how are you and Kirigiri-San are always able to remain so calm?"

"I don't know about Kirigiri, but you're mistaken about me. It's not that I'm not scared, but I'm just not acting over my emotions. It doesn't matter if I'm happy, sad, angry, stressed, or even depressed, I never act over an emotion.

If you want to know how I do it, I guess it is because of my talent. In chess, you have to always maintain a calm state of mind, as to always be able to make the right move and to prevent from your rival to see how you feel about the match.

"Sure" Jason said and let Makoto enter. After he entered, Makoto asked:

"Harris-Kun, what did you do in my room in the morning? I saw you coming out of my room, so I can't help but ask, since... THAT happened in my room..."

"Well, if you must know, I saw that the door was slightly open, so I entered the room, and saw the murder scene. After investigating, I came out, and that's when you saw me"

"I see... do you know anything about it?"

"The only thing I'll say is that you were a naive fool, Makoto, however, if I would've believed in luck, I'd say that you were lucky this time. Now, if you don't mind, I have a trial to prepare for.
