Prologue

My shoes slam against the marble floor, my black duffle bag bounces back and forth hitting the back of my calves as I run out of the glass door. I push through my only obstacle and land on the asphalt and I don't stop until I throw myself into my car. I have yet to hear the sound of wailing sirens, but I know that special red button behind the counter has been long but triggered.

Not wasting anytime I smash the pedal of my midnight blue mustang to the floor and gas it until I reach my location. Before I realize, I'm at my stopping point where normally I switch to a different car, but the moment I stop... I see what my future will be.

Memories of my partner and I robbing banks flood back to me. I remember everything up to now. Robbing the biggest bank in the country... alone. They finally caught up to me, but I know he would want me to go out strong... or maybe he wouldn't want me to fight, but that's just not in my nature. I pick up up the solid gold AK-47; his gun. We both had our own custom made AK's, but I use his now. Sometimes it feels like he's here with me. Pulling his AK out of the car with me I unleash my anger towards them for destroying my life. His life.

I start seeing bodies drop from my shots and I manuever my way to the back of my car and take cover behind it. I jump out at every opportunity I have and drop more bodies to the cold, hard Earth. I step back and crouch behind my mustang once again and whisper to myself and my beloved Cayson, once more. "It's time, we'll be together soon. I love you." As I kiss the necklace he gave me and stare at his gun in my hands; I step out once more, ready for what is to come. I shoot and watch more bodies fall and once my gun is emptied this time, I don't hide behind our bullet filled car to change yet another magazine.... I wait for the bullets to take me, as they did to him.

I get hit too many times to count and fall to the ground in pain but right now; this pain is bliss. I continued our journey and ended it just as quickly. As my life diminishes I smile, one last time, because I know that now I can truly be happy. We will be together again, and this time it is forever. Our infinity.

We can now hold each other for our eternity that we had been searching for.
