Mrs. Edward got home and reported everything Nelly's mother said to her husband.
"Bastard? Why will you believe such a thing? She is just bittered" Mr. Edward said.
"I thought as much too," Mrs. Edward said.
Collins heard what they have been discussing and allowed them to conclude before he comes out
"Mum! Do you mean Nelly's mother said all that to you? And you didn't reply to her?" Collins asked.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward shook from where they were. They did not know that their son has been hearing their conversation.
"Don't worry son, it's nothing. She was just jealous that our handsome son didn't end up with that ugly daughter but with a beautiful chartered accountant," Mrs. Edward said proudly.
"Mum! Don't cover up. She is also my child bastard. She is so senseless to say that. Jones is not as senseless as that of her daughter" Collins said angrily
