CHAPTER 99: NEW PERSONAL ASSISTANTS.

Charlie's mansion......

Living room........

Charlie and Eve were watching television when even spoke and asked Charlie.

"Oh how is the search for a personal assistant for me going?" Eve asked.

"Fine, I have actually found two people to start tomorrow" Charlie said.

"Two?" Eve asked surprised.

"Yes" Charlie said.

"Why two? Isn't that too much? I needed only one" Eve said.

"No, it is not too much. I just don't want to you to stress yourself too much that's why I picked two to be your assistants" Charlie said.

"Okay, so can you tell me who they are so I would be able to recognize them at least with their names" Eve said.

"It is a surprise" Charlie said.

"Surprise?" Eve asked.

"Yes" Charlie said.

"Just tell me!" Eve shouted.

"If I tell you it wouldn't be a surprise anymore right?" Charlie asked.

"Just.... forget it" Eve said folding her hands pouting her lips.

"My little bunny of a wife is just too cute" Charlie said pinching her cheeks.

"Don't call me that" Eve said looking away from Charlie.

"Hahaha... Stop sulking and let's go to bed, we have work tomorrow" Charlie said laughing at Eve's childish behavior. Eve stood up and ran upstairs to room and Charlie followed her laughing.

Devan corporation......

As Eve walked into the company and she is greeted by the employees and she responded politely to them. She has been thinking about Charlie's surprise since last night and till now she has not been able to figure out the people Charlie sent to be her personal assistants but she will find out today when they resume.

"Our new boss is really nice" first employee said.

"Yes you are right! Do you know that the yesterday, I was carrying a lot of documents to go and submit to the accounting department but on the way I bumped into her and all the documents fell on the floor, I was so scared that she would shout at me and fire me like miss Adriana but she practically did the opposite!" The third employee said.

"What did she do?" Second employee asked.

"She helped me pick and arrange the documents, not only that she helped me carry some to the accounting department!" Third employee said.

"Really?" First and second employee asked.

"Yes, you can ask the accounting department to confirm" third employee said.

"Miss Eve is really nice" first employee said.

"Yes, she is really God sent" second employee said.

"Let's us go back to work" first employee said.

The employees were gossiping about Eve as they saw her. Eve got to the private elevator, press the button and the door opens, she gets inside and the doors closes and goes up to the 33rd floor which is the floor for the CEO and his secretaries.

The doors of the elevator opens and she steps out and goes to her office. She entered her office and started setting up for the day. Few minutes later she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" Eve said without looking up.

"Good morning ma'am Sue Turner and Nars Bates reporting for duty as your personal assistants" Sue and Nars introduced themselves.

Eve stopped what she was doing because she heard familiar voices and she looked up and she is shocked to see her friends. She immediately stood up and hugs her friends.

"Why didn't you guys inform me that you would be my personal assistants?" Eve asked angry at her friends.

"You can't blame us! We were told not to tell you by Mr Charles because he wanted to surprise you" Sue said.

"And believe me dear when I say it was really hard not to say anything about it to you" Nars said pouting.

"Okay I forgive you both" Eve said and they chatted for some while before Sue and Nars went to the human resources department to get their employment letter and also get accustom to their new jobs and positions.

The day went by fast and the three friends head head out of the company together. When they got to the company lobby, Eve caught sight of Charlie waiting for her outside the company, she hurriedly walked to meet Charlie and thank him for his surprise.

"Babe!" Eve shouted and this caught the attention of people coming in and out of the company and also passers-by.

Charlie who was backing Eve answering a call heard her and turns his head back and saw Eve running towards him and he cuts the call. Eve jumped on him and he was fast to hold her but because her action was unexpected, he was pushed back a little by the force.

"Hey little bunny" Charlie asked laughing.

"Hubby! Thank you for the surprise, I really like it!" Eve said grinning from ear to ear.

"You are welcome, how was your day?" Charlie asked rubbing his hand on Eve's hair.

"It was great and even better with your surprise" Eve said pointing at Sue and Nars who bowed their head and greet Charlie.

"Good evening Mr Charles" Sue said.

"Good evening Mr Charles" Nars said.

"Good evening and please call me by my name as I am no more your boss and also the husband to your friend" Charlie said to them.

"Okay Charles" Sue and Nars said.

"We will be going now" Charlie said to sue and Nars.

"Okay bye, take care" Sue said waving.

"Bye Sue! Bye Nars! See you tomorrow!" Eve said waving back.

After Eve and Charlie left, Sue and Nars entered their respective cars and went home.

Somewhere in a small town in New York.......

In an old building......

Two people are discussing a plan.

"I want you to kidnap and make sure that the person in that picture is no more in this world" first unknown person said.

"No problem boss" second unknown person said.

"I don't want the same sloppy job you did the last time that cost me my company. Any mistake this time around just know you will be the one dead" first unknown person said.

"Don't worry I will make sure I make no mistakes" second unknown person said.

"Better be" first unknown person.

"Boss what of the payment?" Second unknown person said.

"Don't worry you will be paid in full when you complete the job" first unknown person said.

"Okay" second unknown person said and leaves the visiting room.

The two person discussing is none other than George Anderson and Tommy who George told to kill Eve but failed and is been given the same job.

As Tommy exits the room, Adriana comes in and greets her father. She came to visit her father in prison.

"Who is that dad?" Adriana asked.

"That's the person I sent to kill Eve before but he failed and I decided to give him a second chance" George said.

"Are you sure that he would succeed this time?" Adriana asked her dad.

"He better because if he doesn't succeed he knows what will happen" George said.

"Okay that's by the way. Mom sent me here to see how you are doing, she won't let me rest" Adriana said.

"I am fine" George said.

"Okay I will take my leave, I need to go and take back Devan corporation" Adriana said.

"How is it going?" George asked his daughter.

"Well I plan to get a person to be our spy in the company. I have sent someone which is one of the secretaries of Eve. We would be getting information from her about what happens in the company" Adriana said.

"That's good, well done" George said.

"Thanks dad, I will be leaving now" Adriana said.

"Okay, make sure you keep me updated, okay?" George said.

"Okay dad" Adriana said and leaves the prison's visiting room and George is taken back to his cell.
