Friend Turned Enemy

Isabelle felt the warmth of his touch, unsure of how to react. As she sensed his face drawing nearer, her heart skipped a beat. Is he really going to do what I think he will?

Logan stepped closer, his breath warm against her skin. Isabelle instinctively closed her eyes, sensing his proximity, only to feel him pulling away moments later.

"You had something on your neck," he said casually.

Isabelle's face flushed in embarrassment as she quickly wiped the spot, her heart racing.

Logan glanced at his watch, his expression shifting to one of mild urgency. "I have somewhere to be. Take care," he said, turning to leave.

"Oh... okay," Isabelle replied, feeling suddenly lost for words.

As he walked away, she couldn't help but mutter to herself, "Gosh, I can be so delusional."

Her phone buzzed from the bed, and Isabelle reached for it.

"Harley… what's up?" she answered.

"Nothing, just wanted to check in on you."
