Chapter 19

Author's Note:

Hello Author-san here, I wish to say that I am glad that most of y'all like the story so far. Let's just say that I motivated me to actually finish my work ahead of schedule. So with that all being said, enjoy 😁

---------------------------------------------------------

(3d POV)

The following night, Malory and The Boys arrived at the dock, their nerves on edge. The dark, still water of the dock was only occasionally disturbed by waves hitting the cobblestones and the soft creaking of the wooden planks. The atmosphere was thick with tension and anticipation.

Malory's thoughts was a jumbled mix of anxiety and resolve as her eyes darted everywhere. 'Is this really going to work, I'm not leading us to a trap right?'

She glanced at The Boys, each of their faces was a mix of skepticism yet a wary determination. They had reluctantly agreed to meet Reggie, but the lingering doubts nonetheless was still there.

The very notion of stepping into a transport with a man they barely knew, especially one who had been framed for the alleged mass murder, made her uneasy.

As Reggie's sleek, black Chevrolet Impala pulled into view, its polished surface reflecting the scant light, the tension in the air grew heavier. Malory took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Alright, let's do this," she said, her voice firm though her eyes betrayed her apprehension.

The Boys followed her lead and climbed into the car. Butcher's face was a mask of grim wariness. He grunted, "This better be worth it." His mind was a storm of anger and suspicion. 'If this guy's setting us up, I'm gonna find a way rip him to pieces.'

Reggie, standing outside the car, focused intently as he began to channel his Speed Force connection. Before with a grunt, and practiced motion, he lifted the car above his shoulders, his blue lightning crackling around it. The sheer power and spectacle of the moment left everyone scream in surprise as they were left momentarily speechless before disappearing In a trail of lightning.

(The Boys' POV)

As the car jolted upwards, the sudden lift made Malory's breath hitch. Her heart raced not just from the shock of the ascent but from the sheer intensity of the Speed Force energy coursing through her. 'This is unreal.' The sensation of weightlessness was disorienting, making her feel as if she was floating.

The constant, rapid motion left her with a buzzing in her ears and a tightness in her chest. 'Is this how fast he can actually go?' Her gaze darted out the window, where the world outside was a kaleidoscope of distorted colors. Every second seemed to stretch, time bending under the force of Reggie's speed as she witnessed the vehicle seemingly flying above the ocean speeding by.

Hughie's eyes widened as he took in the rapidly shifting landscape. His body felt heavy and sluggish, the Speed Force making it nearly impossible to move. 'This is insane!' He thought in awe as the wind whipped against window, and he struggled to keep his eyes open against the onslaught of senses. Each moment, the scenery changed rapidly from city lights to a dark, endless expanse of water.

The sight was both exhilarating and terrifying. 'I can't believe we're actually moving on top of water!!' His thoughts raced, trying to process the overwhelming experience.

Frenchie leaned back, as the sudden speed pressed him against the seat overwhelming him with the whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. 'We're flying... over the ocean?!' The sensation of speed was all-encompassing, his body pressed firmly against the seat by the sheer force.

The blue lightning crackling outside was mesmerizing, contrasting sharply with the dark night. He could almost feel the hum of some unknown energy surrounding their environment, a palpable presence that made him feel both powerful and vulnerable at once.

''This is something out of a comic book!' His fascination was tempered by fear as he tried to keep a vigilant eye on their constantly moving surroundings.

Mother's Milk, or M.M. as the group called him, felt a mixture of awe and tension. 'This ain't right. This kind of power, it's too unnatural.' The vibrations of the car and the constant hum of the unknown energy made his OCD flare up, his mind fixating on the details he couldn't control.

He clenched his fists, trying to focus on the mission ahead. 'This kid's a goddamn wild card!!!' The blue lightning dancing around them felt like a cage of energy, both shielding and imprisoning. As a former military man, he knew to be wary of anything that powerful, especially something that could turn on them at any moment. 'Deep breaths, In....out.....Just keep it together man. One step at a time.'

Butcher's face, usually set in grim determination, couldn't completely mask a flicker of awe. 'This bloody madman is running on top the fucking water!!' The sheer power of Reggie's speed was staggering. The sensation of being propelled forward at such an incredible pace made his stomach churn.

'If this is real, then he's not just another Supe. This is next-level shit. Haha! Fucking Diabolical!' His grip on the seat was tight, every muscle in his body tense. He tried to focus on the mission, trying to push pass the disorientation. 'Just stay focused, Butcher. We need every piece of information, and this crazy bastard's our ticket to it.'

As the Helicarrier came into view, its colossal size became apparent as it emerged from the ocean.

The metal hull seemed to stretch endlessly into the sky, its sleek design illuminated by a myriad of lights. Malory's awe grew as her skepticism was overshadowed by the sight of the massive base. 'This is.... Is this is what he meant by safe?' Her heart pounded with a mix of apprehension and hope.

Reggie's effortless handling of the car was proof enough about his control and strength. The way he ran on the water, maintaining such incredible speed without a hint of struggle, left them all in stunned silence.

When he finally slowed down on the walkway to the entrance and set the car down gently, Malory and The Boys emerged, their legs a bit wobbly from the rapid motion. The transition from blinding speed to the stillness of the Helicarrier was jarring.

Butcher's scowl softened into something akin to grudging respect. As he looked around at the massive Helicarrier, the enormity of it finally sinking in. 'Alright, he's got something going for him. But this is just the beginning.

His mind was already calculating the next steps, but he couldn't help but feel a sliver of amazement at the sheer scale of Reggie's hideout. The amount of money, spent on building and maintening this must be staggering.

Hughie rubbed his temples, trying to shake off the lingering dizziness from the sudden high-speed run. 'That was insane. But if he can help us bring down Vought and Homelander...' His thoughts were a mix of excitement and trepidation. 'We need to trust him, even if just for now.' Despite his lingering doubts, Hughie felt a sense of cautious optimism.

Mother's Milk stepped out cautiously, his eyes widening as he took in the massive structure before him. 'Holy Mother of God!! This place is massive!!...We need to keep our guard up, we can't forget who we're dealing with.' The experience had been too exhilarating yet unnerving, reminding him of the unpredictable nature of their new supposed ally.

His mind still buzzed with the aftereffect hum of the unknown energy Reggie emitted, the ringing was the irritating reminder of what just happened. 'Just focus on the mission MM. One step at a time.'

Frenchie took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. 'Chère et douce mère de Jésus!! this place is enormous!! If Reggie or whatever his name may be is actually telling the truth, then this could be exactly what we just need!' His eyes scanned the Helicarrier with a mixture of curiosity and respect.

The experience of traveling at such high speeds had been a wild ride, but now, the focus had to shift to the task at hand. Popping a pill in his mouth as he thought 'Let's see what else this guy has up his sleeve.'

Malory, feeling a rush of relief mixed with apprehension, looked at Reggie. 'We're here. Now, let's just hope that this isn't a trap.' Her expression was a blend of trust and wariness. The Helicarrier loomed above them, both impressive and intimidating, and she hoped she would get the answers they needed.

Reggie standing ahead of them, with his arms raised at his sides in a welcoming gesture said " Lady and Gentlemen welcome to 'The Exodus.' "
