A trip home

After talking a bit more, I headed back home. The day has been so amazing that I didn't want it to end.

When I teleported back, I was in my hiding space. I climbed out, and headed back home. Mama had been sitting on a chair outside talking to her friends. This was a common thing. "Just go inside, and we'll figure out a solution to that little thing you can do." She said, eyes darting to mine. What does she mean by that? Does she know? How?!?!

About half an hour later she walked in, closed the door, and right before shutting the blinds, she checked to see if anybody was around. "Get me my water bottle off my nightstand, please." She said. As I started to walk off to get it, she tsk tsked at me and told me to come back. "Do your thing to get it." She said as she crossed her arms. "What do you mean?"

"Do that illegal shit that I know you can do."

At that moment, I teleported to her room, grabbed her water bottle, and teleported back. "So, the cameras weren't glitching." She muttered to herself. "How long have you been able to do that?"

"About three years....."

"And you never thought to tell me? You're own mother?" I felt as if tears were starting to form. "I didn't want to put you all in danger. I thought that the less you knew about me, the more safe you'd become." I felt the lump in my throat grow.

My mom walked over, and gave me a hug. "I should be the one protecting you. You shouldn't have to keep something like that to yourself." She told me as she kissed me on the forehead. "Now, when can I meet these 'friends' of yours?" We both laughed.

That night, I told her everything that I had been keeping locked up for the past three years. There were tears and laughter through the night, but it felt good to let it out.
