A Chance To Escape
When Brett woke up the next morning, his rut had already subsided. His lower region was still lodged inside Zane's body. It was unclear whether Zane was sleeping or passed out. He did not wake up when Brett slowly pulled out of his depth and left his body with a soft popping sound. Turbid liquid trickled out obscenely of the raw hole as soon as the plug was removed. It was slightly pinkish in color because some blood was mixed in.
The wound had already healed, though.
Brett facepalmed and chastised himself in silence when he gazed at the result of his doing. Last night, he gave in to his rut and slept with the vampire prisoner.
That was not all.
Brett pushed aside a few strands of hair from the back of Zane's neck and saw the deep bite mark that he left on Zane's nape. Some blood oozed out during sex, but the wound was also healed by now.
He marked a vampire.
He really did.
