Chapter 46: Sometimes I Even Dream
*A couple days later…*
We rode with haste for Mirewood but struggled to keep the speed through the mangled forests. My vanguard and I rode into the town, startling everyone. The Blood Duchess trailed by ten human cavalrymen didn’t happen often.
I shouted in the town square, “Vampires of Mirewood! Proud, valiant warriors of Mirewood! Avenadyn is under attack once more and I call upon you to join forces with me!”
“What is this madness, Yyrdra?” a hunter shouted from the shade.
“Muster your fiercest wrath, your strongest blade and join me in Avenadyn! Fight by my side and fight for our alliance so we can show the realm that we are stronger united,” I yelled from horseback for the town to hear.
My father came running; he must’ve been nearby. He shouted, “Yyrdra, what is happening? Are you alright?”
“The northern barbarian kingdoms are attacking Avenadyn again. Meet me near our capital city with an army.”
“Yyrdra, we can discuss…”
