The Other Half

I rushed to her, "Mia are you alright?"

She was standing there still. I took the little animal from her hands and put it near a tree.

I held her by both of her shoulders, "Mia speak something. You are making me worried."

She looked at me. Her eyes were filled with fear.

"Lin, something wrong has happened. It shouldn't have happened. How? How can it be possible?"

She said while trembling. I couldn't understand her words at all.

"Mia, what happened? What is it that had made you afraid?", I asked her.

Mia removed my hands from her shoulders," Lin, please take this baby deer to its mother. I had to go. I had to do something important."

She said that and ran away. I wasn't able to stop her but she made me worried. I took the baby deer from the ground.

Mia's POV

I ran fastly towards the building of the Conference room. The conference room was on the third floor. I rushed to the second floor where were different magical equipment and tools. I rushed to the huge mirror on the wall. It was the Magical Summoning mirror, used for summoning someone from Magical realms. I threw a magic ball towards it.

After a while, there was a bright light in the whole place and then it suddenly became dark.

"It seems that you need me", a hoarse voice spoke.

I wish I could get rid of you.

"What is happening? Where is the other half?", I screamed in anger.

"Hahaha... What would I get in return?", he replied.

I clenched my hands in anger.

"Tell me what you want. But remember it shouldn't include the life of the Beasts or your freedom."

He laughed wickedly, "Hahaha... You are cunning. Indeed you are the soul that had every magical power. I am much happy being close to the Legendary Princess. So, it's best to stay under your capture. I won't ask for something that might endanger those foolish beasts because I know it will make this beautiful Princess worried. Just find me my other half and let me destroy it along myself. My power is weakening with time while the other half has its fullest. If somehow it gets stronger to approach me then I won't be able to control it. It's better to help me destroy it. I want to get rid of these pains."

I sighed. He is right but... wait...

"You said that the other half is getting powerful so, it means you can sense the other half. As for your demand, I will accept it since I want the same to happen."

"Yes, I can feel it. Recently, I felt it to be more lively. It seems that he had got a powerful host. Since you had accepted my demand I will tell you what's happening. It is something related to you. You should get rid of those evil spirits as soon as possible. The wrong happenings that you sensed are because the other half is absorbing the spirits and killing the hosts of those spirits. I mean the Magical Beasts, tor cores", he told me.

His words were a great shock to me.

If it continues like this everything will be destroyed?

"Mia, that other half is around you because I can sense its aura from you. There is another aura on you. It probably belongs to that golden-blooded. Keep him around yourself. Right now he is like an evil spirit repellent. I can tell this easily that he is chosen one. He is chosen by fate. You had done the right decision by taking help from him. The other half is around you so be careful", he said that and disappeared.

Who is the host of the other half?

I stepped out of the Conference Hall building. Lin came running towards me.

"Mia, can you please tell me what's happening?", he asked me.

I could tell how worried he was.

I didn't want to worry him anymore because of me. It is my fight that I had to fight I can't involve someone else in it.

"Lin, you should relax. You have to train hard so, that we could defeat those spirits", I told him with a smile.

He gave me a confused look, "Mia, a while ago you were trembling in fear and now you are smiling. Are you okay?"

He put his hand on my forehead.

I laughed and took his hand off my forehead. I held his hand with both of my hands. I know that my behavior might seem quite strange to you but I can't put you in danger. I just forgot a while ago that I had to keep my fear hidden and you saw that. I can't let you know the truth. All this time with you as my friend I had been at ease. I can't endanger your life by telling you everything.

Lin, please forgive me for lying to you.

"Hey, Lin stay by my side. If you stay by my side I won't be afraid like that anymore. I thought something bad happened but luckily everything was fine."

He touched my face with his other hand, "It's good that nothing is wrong. Mia never hide anything from me. I will always stay by your side no matter what the problem is I will always be there for you. Even when no one is beside you, still you will find this friend of yours besides you."

His words felt so warm. I couldn't control myself and tears began to flow out of my eyes.

"Why are you crying?", he asked me.

I unknowingly hugged him. He hugged me back. I cried even more. I cried till I could.

"Mia is something bothering you?", he asked me worriedly.

"Lin, let me cry like this for a while."

He didn't say a word. He stood there with me. I didn't know what happened to me but I just wanted to cry. It felt as if there was a great burden on my heart and I wanted to get rid of it. Dad used to say the words that Lin said.

Whenever I wanted to cry, I would hug him and cry a lot. Since his death, there was no one whom I could hug and cry to.

After a long time, there is someone like that.

"Hey, you both. What are you doing?", a voice came.
