By 2pm, my bags were packed and ready to go. All the clothes that my parents had given me earlier were neatly folded inside the duffel bag. My laptop case had also been carefully placed on the floor next to the suitcase. With all preparations complete, I made sure to double-check my pockets to make sure that I hadn't forgotten to pack my toothbrush or something equally important. After ensuring that I didn't forget anything, I grabbed the suitcases that contained all of my toiletries and personal belongings. Both Mom and Dad had already left for work by the time I stepped out of the bathroom to find them sitting side by side on the sofa reading the morning newspaper.

"Everything okay?" I asked curiously.

Both Mom and Dad looked up from their respective papers at me. Then, together they replied, "Yes... Everything's fine."

I furrowed my brows. "Are you sure? Because you both seem unusually quiet today."
