Jacob grinned as he shrugged nonchalantly again, "It won't hurt you to lend me the money. I plan on paying you back soon after I get myself established with the restaurant and make a nice profit." He paused briefly, "Plus... I've always wanted to take care of my father's investments personally." He smiled slyly at his dad, "I guess I'll owe him a debt in addition to being obligated to marry Rachel someday."
Mr. Maxwell sighed and shook his head, but he couldn't hide the smile from crossing his face either. Then he nodded curtly as he said, "Alright then, let's talk about this more carefully in detail tomorrow morning. In the meantime, let me treat the three of you to lunch here at the restaurant. It seems like the least I can do considering that it took me over forty minutes to convince you to actually come out here in the first place instead of just meeting us back at the office."
