During this time, Joan develops into a confidante of Prince Ahziz, who, in turn, becomes her guardian. The young prince pushes the other Sheik children away whenever they come to play with them. Especially his second brother, Prince Ahmad. Because of Prince Ahziz, nobody can play with or get near Joan.

"Why can't we play with her?" While having dinner at his mother's palace, Prince Ahmad, the Sheik's second son, takes issue with his father.

The fact that Joan is his elder brother's only playmate and cannot be shared is beyond the comprehension of his five-year-old mind.

Regretfully, his mother is a second wife even though she is a princess from a nearby country. Shayah, a princess from another nearby country, is more powerful than she is.
