The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. Your duty is to serve me.

Jasper finally extricated himself from the mansion and stepped outside into the cool evening air. He let out a sigh of relief as he walked towards his car, grateful to be away from the oppressive atmosphere inside.

However, his respite was short-lived. As he got into his car and started the engine, he realized that he still had to find Ella. He quickly dialed Michael's number, hoping he had some updates about Ella.

"Where is Ella?" he asked when the call connected. "Did you find her?"

"Yes, but…" Michael's serious tone made him agitated.

"What is the matter?" Jasper asked, panic rising in his mind.

"Paul has found her before me," Michael revealed. "He has taken her to his place."

Jasper clasped the steering wheel as he listened to Michael's words. His face was twisted in frustration and worry. "Why did she run away?" he muttered. "I told her not to leave the house. But she ignored my words. Now she is in trouble."
