The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The grief

Rachel's funeral was held two days after her death.

Abigail was still struggling to cope with the loss of her mother. She tried her best to hold herself together, but as soon as she saw the casket, she broke down. Her body shook with sobs, and she could barely stand on her own.

Christopher held her tightly to prevent her from falling.

Abigail's eyes were fixed on the casket, and she couldn't stop crying. Her mother's lifeless body inside the casket was too much for her to take. She felt as if she had nothing left to live for.

As Rachel's body was lowered to the ground, Abigail's cries grew louder. Her own grief suffocated her, and she couldn't take it anymore. She fell limp in Christopher's arms, feeling weak and dizzy.
