The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. An ominous feeling

Abigail looked at her hesitantly. She didn't know why she had a bad feeling. She was reluctant to let her go alone. However, she relented in the end and agreed to her request.

The car stopped at the intersection near Elsa's house. "Are you sure you don't want me to come to your house with you?" Abigail asked, her voice low and urgent. "I can't just leave you here alone, especially when you're in danger."

Elsa shook her head, her long blonde hair falling across her shoulders like a veil. "No, Abigail," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry, I can't invite you into the house today. See you later."

Abigail sighed and reluctantly nodded. "Call me when you are free." She smiled and leaned over to hug Elsa tightly. "Just be careful, okay?" she whispered.

Elsa nodded and opened the door, stepping out into the cool afternoon air. She glanced back at Abigail, her eyes shining with determination. "I'll be fine," she said. "I promise."
