Off to work

That morning, Patrick's PA had called to inform him of an emergency at one of their building sites and that an important client wanted to speak with him in person.

Since he had already promised his family that he wouldn't be working while they were at the beach house, he considered ways to avoid it.

He requested that Henry and a few of his directors handle the issue with his PA, but he needed help to focus. He needed to be on the phone to get updates on the situation and figure out how to reschedule his meeting with his stubborn client.

"Ricky, is everything okay?" Holding his daughter in his arms, Phil inquired.

He gave a nod. "Yes."

After giving him a glance and a nod, he left the living room. His mother questioned him about the same thing a few minutes later as he was engrossed in gazing at his iPad.

He was anticipating a communication from his secretary.

"Is there any problem, Patrick?" Her gaze was solemn as she questioned.
