NIGHT OUT WITH THE LADIES, OUCH!

Flashback to last night( a wolfy encounter)

Anne POV

Anne was startled, terrified, and also in awe of the beasts in front of her, Wolves were supposed to live in the mountains or bushes. Anywhere but in a residential area, that is pretty scary, she thought.

The two beasts looked very identical, black and grey furs covered their entire bodies apart from the little freckles of white furs in the middle of their faces. She couldn't see their eyes very well because of the dim street light, but she could see their black eyes glistening, raging anger burning in them. Snarling at the girls, Their stances were ready for attack, to attack them all.

Instead of fear, Coco was angry at the disturbance, "What the hell?" Coco cursed out angrily, "what do you dogs want with us? Kill us?" she said, laughing at the wolves.

"Wow! So dogs can now run about without leashes on them?" Belle questioned, uninterested in the wolf's show of power, "crazy little show-offs."

Anne was stunned at the level of nonchalance she saw. They were supposed to be running for their lives, instead, Coco and Belle were acting as if the wolves with them were nothing but dogs disturbing their peace.

Surely, Belle calling them dogs infuriated the wolves, they became more provoked, their eyes were narrowed to slits, and Anne could almost see the imaginary steam coming out from the pointing ears.

Coco touched her shoulder gently, "Run and don't ever look back, run now because your life depends on it. Now run!" Coco urged.

Her legs were already running before her mind registered the command. She doesn't know the area at all but she doesn't want to die, "how can they be so calm about this whole situation? Referring to both Belle and Coco. Were they planning to die and they thought dealing with two angry wolves was the fastest way to deal with it?

She was running with all her strength, her heart was pounding in her ears. Adrenaline rushed through her body. She didn't notice the small stone that was on the ground, she tripped on it and fell to the ground.

She wanted to stand up but when she had the snarling of a wolf behind her, she was froze to the spot, immobile.

I am already a dead meat, she thought wearily.

"Why me! I don't want to tell, please don't eat me," she said pleading, slowly turning to face the wolf.

This one also looked identical to the last two, she saw before but it didn't have the white patches of fur on its face, it also looked bigger and more powerful than the last two.

She placed her head between her knees and raised her two hands to beg for her life, "Don't kill me please, my friends and I were going to the new restaurant that just opened, we wanted to taste the food so badly, we thought this lane will make our journey faster but I guess not."

Strangely, it looked like the wolf could understand her. It was looking at her with an odd expression on its face as if it didn't know whether to believe her or not.

Suddenly, the wolf raised its head to sniff the air, gradually coming close to her, she was drawing back as the wolf advanced to her, until her back touched a wall and she could pull back no further.

Anne has never seen a wolf in her life before today, is this wolf confused? She thought. The wolf sniffed at her, drew back as if to think, then sniffed her again and again as if to decipher her scent but it became more confused and smelled her again, it was acting crazy to Anne.

With the way the wolf was sniffing at her, Anne too became confused, is she smelling? She raised her clothes to smell it but she couldn't pick out anything wrong with the smell, or is it that I smell to the wolf? She thought.

The wolf drew back, it was confused with Anne's scent, she smelled like a human and also like a wolf, not just any wolf, an Alpha wolf. She was a human, he could tell, with the way she was whimpering in fear and her heart was pounding so loud, he could almost feel it under his paws but he couldn't understand why she was smelling like a wolf.

He wanted to ask her questions but he couldn't as he was still in his wolf form and wasn't ready to expose his kind to the world, I am going to keep an eye on this one, he thought.

He raised his head to the sky, howling, telling his brothers to retreat from their attack, Before running off to a corner beside him.

Anne was relieved and happy to be alive, inhaling air so deep in her lungs, that she felt full. Savoring in her body before exhaling it out.

"Anne, where are you?" She heard the voice of Coco calling her name before she answered, "I am here."

She stood up from the ground, dusted her clothes, and headed to the girls.

Coco was relieved to see Anne, she wasn't injured and seemed okay.

Anne thought she had it worse until she saw Coco and Belle, she raised her hand to cover her gasp, "Those creatures did this to you guys?"

"I will survive," Coco smiled, before raising her hand to her face, cowering in pain.

They were both covered in bruises and injuries, Coco's lips were covered with blood, and the side of her face was swollen and out of shape but would survive, so she said.

Belle had it far worse. She was limping, her face was covered in bruises, and her face was expertly designed with red. When she tried to smile, Anne could see the crimson blood on her teeth as she smiled.

Anne was worried for her friends and also guilty for leaving them alone, she felt disgusted with herself. They were injured yet still looking out for her, "I need to take you guys to the hospital."

"Don't bother yourself, Anne, before you know it, all these bruises will be gone. Give it two days, our faces will be fresh like a baby."

After Belle had finished talking, Anne was filled with doubts, there was no way Belle with be fine within two days. She was sure Belle had at least three broken bones in her body, she needed to go to the hospital for treatment.

Guess, dinner was a forgotten issue now, Right now, all she wanted was for her friends to be okay.
