Irlof cautiously held Taneaya's body on his back, with Kain standing beside him. Dalgin led the group, moving forward at the front. They continued their journey along the trail, with grass and trees accompanying them on both sides.
In Kain's mind, waves of guilt continued to haunt him, especially regarding his inability to save Eran. His thoughts drifted back to the time they were on the hill behind Alku village.
"We have something in common, Eran," said Kain with a deep voice, breaking the silence.
Eran, with an expression of disbelief, asked, "What do you mean?"
"Like now, we're here to avoid our duties, especially Cata's duties," Kain revealed jokingly.
Eran suddenly woke up from his sleep, sitting up. "You're right, Kain. I agree, Cata is too nagging," said Eran, understanding Kain's thoughts.
"Well, yeah, you know he takes care of almost all of our band's needs. She's like our mother figure," Kain said with a smile.
